Is he Steve Sewell's son?antibluehair wrote:He will be here in August. I know that. I think he will redshirt his first year here for sure and still have 3 years to play.
Also found out Boogie Sewell is down USU's board and has not been offered.

We offered Branden Bowen today. Would love to get this kid. He is HUGE!

Boy, if that is really the case, have a nice time never winning (I can't express myself without swearing) in Boulder. Odd choice in my opinion, given the quality of just the local programs that were after him.DCS wrote:TJ Fehoko has committed to Colorado according to Doug Kimmel. Is it though? Colorado is offering something most schools aren't and can't at this point. I think I know exactly what they did on that recruiting visit.

Re: Football Offers 2015 (Updated 4/14/14) Highlights and St
For Fehoko yes, I would say his choice is a curious one. Unless they can offer playing time right away. Early playing time probably isn't something that we can offer and what kid doesn't want that? The weed thing I doubt. He posted pics of himself and his girlfriend at the LDS General Conference a few weeks ago. I would say there is a more likely chance that he goes on a mission and never ends up at Colorado at all, than there is of him selecting Colorado because he likes to smoke.swishh_15 wrote:aggies22 wrote:Boy, if that is really the case, have a nice time never winning s*** in Boulder. Some kids just want an opportunity to go to college away from home. I can't blame him much. Boulder is an amazing city with likeness to Logan in many ways.. I'd guess he probably just wanted a different experience..

I'm not sure why we would be talking to this kid about anything but a walk-on spot. He was a 2013 HS graduate. He may have redshirted the 2013 season at Southeastern Oklahoma State. That's a D-2 school. He appeared on the roster but wasn't even assigned a jersey number and didn't record any stats.QuackAttackAggie wrote:Visited with Ellis Reid today according to his twitter. http://ulm.scout.com/a.z?s=346&p=8&c=1&nid=6704515

Re: Football Offers 2015 (4 NEW TODAY!!) Highlights and Stat
It's crazy to see that we already have 4 Logan High School grads coming into the program in 2015. I remember when it was a rarity to have a LHS football player sign with any local school. We've come a long way.

Any word yet if the Cheeta's have received permission to speak with them yet?ag4fr wrote:Quick update on 2 of those guys that are pretty near and dear to me.
Caden Andersen - Now 6-3 and 280. Seems he found a rusty old set of weights and they have become good friends. Recent pics look thick in the shoulders, chest, and arms.
Jacoby Wildman - Has grown. 1.5 inches. Now solidly 6-3 and on his way to 6-4. Up to about 285.
The guys are having a good time on their church missions and approaching the 1 year mark pretty fast.

They don't need permission. They use mission presidents and such who consistently tell the young elders about how they can take their talents and use them to further the Lord's work. LMAO, Unfortunately there's a lot of truth to that statement.dyedblue wrote:Any word yet if the Cheeta's have received permission to speak with them yet?ag4fr wrote:Quick update on 2 of those guys that are pretty near and dear to me.

You and yours have certainly raised those young men right.ag4fr wrote:I don't think it would matter if Bronco Mendenhall or Tommy Monson called them personally.
They both think BYU Football sucks and they think it is stupid that they have, basically nothing to play for. These guys have been competing for championship since they were little league players and this is what drives them. I don't think BYU's 5000 to 1 odds of winning a National Championship is enough to entice them.
They both really liked Coach A, but they love Coach Wells and are very excited to come be Utah State Aggies and play in front of so many family and friends. They are very excited to go compete against Mountain West Conference opponents where their families and close friends can make it to almost every game, home and away.
We see lots of pictures of them on P-Day repping the Utah State gear, so I'm not anticipating any commitments getting flipped.
Besides, if they flipped their commitments, they know they would dis-owned and thrown out of the family... Our blood is not pale blue.

Really? I talked to Britain a couple of months ago and no one was looking at him for Basketball. He's a decent BBall player but I don't know that his game will really translate to being a D1 BBall player. I wouldn't mind him signing on to play football and then joining up with the BBall team when Football season is over though just to see how it goes.UtesAggs>BYU wrote:Someone closer on your campus. My joke above was not clear. He was trying to say play B-ball at USU.
I do not see it happening, so I referenced the 'Stew can't recruit' line we always here.

Not saying it's true, but if it is, you seem happy that Stew is recruiting a kid who averaged 9 ppg in HS ball, has no other interest, and no other offers in basketball. You're easily satisfied. Your standards for recruiting are way too low. And please, never have anything to do with input on the next head coach or what is expected.

Nowhere did I state I was happy, sad, or any opinion on the matter. Feather what I provided was some clarification from a prior post stating that Matt would have competition for his services closer on campus.

Is that some ad hominem? Yep. Boom! SSS is back; in his usual acerbic form and hobbled by his same old trite and ignorant methods. You know that 8 year-old on the playground who's getting shown up so he resorts to derision, verbal intimidation, and then sometimes physical abuse? Be glad SSS can't reach you through a computer screen with his furious little fists from the playground.Seldomseensmith wrote:Yeah, yeah. So you were looking for a response. You got one.
