I think she is wrong. They will grayshirt. I think she meant unlikely to see them in an Aggie uniform in the coming year. Writing isn't really her strong point. Case in point when she says Woo is an OL. No attention to detail.
Seriously. I think she'd rather be doing anything other than college-based sports writing.

So besides the few transfers: Andersen, Faifili, and Leavitt and the returning missionaries: Andersen, Harris, Raymond, Swenson, and Wildman it appears we are down to only Bailey? This assumes that the reports on Woo and Cronk are correct.

In reading through the various posts it looks like we have 6 3* signs and potentially 2 more in the two "academic casualties". Compare to previous years how does this look?

All three of those xfers were 3-stars when they signed previously.

It seems like this is the most. Before we only got 2 or 3 of the 3 star variety. Great class!

Leavitt, Faifili, and Chasen are all on campus. They have already signed.

Yep. Not sure we need anymore.

We will have Hall, Hunt, Hervey, Williams, and Lindsay returning and now add Mays as the big back option.

Between Hunt, Hervey and Mays there may not be a lot of touches left.

Do RMs sign LOIs right now? Wells hasn't tweeted about them. When are they official? When can Wells discuss them publicly?

Wells at presser, on safety, says they will have another player later today, (Wesley Bailey is expected to sign)

So what about the group that has returned. Have they signed an LOI yet? I haven't seen any official announcement about those guys signing in this group. Are we sure they are all solid commits for next year?

Yes, but with the possible exception of Mays, do we have (and I'm not trying to be critical, just asking because based on what I saw the past couple of years I have to ask) do we have a back with the same combination of size, speed and power as, for example, Booker at Utah?

That's a pretty high bar... Booker is a stud.

Can I take it then that the answer to my question is, "No". So I pose another question; Are we at least trying?

According to UtesAggs the U would have gone after Mays if Booker had declared for the draft. For what that's worth.

So are these 3* Oceanside guys going to get their grades up and sign? How does that all work? Will we end up seeing them here or will they go the JC route?

Seems like these situations often turn out that way. Hopefully these are the exceptions, though.

That is encouraging. Also, I must add, that my question "Are we at least trying?" was actually pretty stupid. Of course I'm sure we would like to get a running back like Booker, and of course I'm sure there just are not that many with his combination of size speed and power out there. I hope Mays turns out to be at least close to that kind of back for us.

8 3-star guys, 1 for sure grey-shirt 3-star guy, and 2 academically troubled 3-stars that may end up greyshirting.

I call that pretty spectacular.

I can't remember doing so well.

I've mentioned this before somewhere, but I think that Zach Swenson is a 2016 kid. He returned home from his mission for a while before he was able to go back out, and I think that will put him behind one additional football season. I also think he was here for the 2013 season, which would mean that he would miss the 2014 and 2015 seasons on his mission anyway. Maybe he got that BYU exemption to serve a 12-18 month mission?

While I was on my mission there were a few kids that went home for medical/other reasons. It all depends on if he was released from missionary service. Regardless, I am pretty darn sure he was in Logan for the 2013 season (not serving a mission nor waiting to go back out), which would mean he would miss both this past season and the upcoming one.
