Would agree Blue, but to make any money, you have to make your wager before the event.USUBlue wrote:So I agree with Newhouse9, let's just see if the New OC and Wells can actually put an exciting and productive offense on the field.newhouse9 wrote:Well, maybe wait until the season to say "Wow" or otherwise.

Let's hope whoever they hire is a suitor. If not, he better R.U.N.N.O.F.T.buckfever wrote:Actually I was not given a name, did not call anyone a-holes. ( thanks for putting my name on that)
It was not cryptic. Or at least not intended to be ...bbbbbbut it was meant to be pleasant news that we'd be pleased with the choice
I interpreted it could be known as soon as Wednesday. IMO. That was my take.
I hope the new coach is bonafide.
Hey. That comes from o brother where art thou. It was levity
Joking in my poor way. IMO.
Seems like we all need to get together. Be both critical and positive
I wish the best for our school in every aspect. I guess it's easier to jump on each other
When our teams slip a bit
IMO it's just a short time slip. We are fine

Who's the Offensive Coordinator?
I was going off of memory. Hence my use of paraphrase rather than quote. The actual term you used was, "pricks" not a-holes. I just looked it up. Hopefully I'm not in that lucky group of 3 pricks now or you haven't expanded it to 4. My apologies and sorry for any confusion.buckfever wrote:Actually I was not given a name, did not call anyone a-holes. ( thanks for putting my name on that)

Re: Who's the Offensive Coordinator?
Well I've only made 2 wagers this year regarding Aggie sports -- won or winning them both. As for the new OC, we'll know a lot by the end of the 2nd game.AngusAg wrote:Would agree Blue, but to make any money, you have to make your wager before the event.USUBlue wrote:So I agree with Newhouse9, let's just see if the New OC and Wells can actually put an exciting and productive offense on the field.newhouse9 wrote:Well, maybe wait until the season to say "Wow" or otherwise.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Re: Who's the Offensive Coordinator?
I think that's the same concern many of us are expressing. What it comes down to for me is to what degree this is more of a titular promotion in order to entice/retain these coaches. It may be that some of the duties of a coordinator are being split, but the primary responsibilities of play-calling, etc., still fall on just one set of shoulders on either side of the ball. Time will tell. Maybe.ag4fr wrote:it is a little un-nerving that we don't have a clear Coordinator on Off. or Def.
If we have 4 Co-Coordinators, does it really really mean we have none?

Re: Who's the Offensive Coordinator?
5 if you count Matt Wells who will apparently be calling all the plays. I see it is Matt Wells as OC and Frank Maile as DC with the rest gaining titular promotions and raises.ag4fr wrote:it is a little un-nerving that we don't have a clear Coordinator on Off. or Def.

Re: Who's the Offensive Coordinator?
Instead of tearing into Matt Wells for this I think he should be applauded and has laid the blue print for what we are going to see going forward with USU. He figured out a way to get good coaches to stay with USU's limited resources. We're going to have to inflate coaching titles and have one or two less coaches on staff to inflate everyone else's salaries.
I think Treesap pretty much hit the nail on the head with his comments about it as well.

I think this point of view has a good chance of being the reason.swishh_15 wrote:Instead of tearing into Matt Wells for this I think he should be applauded and has laid the blue print for what we are going to see going forward with USU.
