Weird that he wasn't able to get 3 five stars here to Logan, but what he did do was pretty amazing.

Great could start at Washington. Honestly he'd be dumb not to go especially if he can make money. Still not sure that he can get paid.

The bigger question is the rest of our roster.

so your saying sprinkle came in a built a program and at the same destroyed what he built! The name recognition for being known as a winning program matters. He maintained that. Jackson sticking around would be nice, I think he can be a really solid PG for us going forward
Wishful thinking, IMO. I'm not saying let him go. That said, we really need a guy like Cardenas.

Btw, wouldn't surprise me if we lost the kid in Oregon with Sprinkle.

Whatever happens I hope it is quick. I would love to see Martinez , Falslev and Johnson stay. If they did that is a solid core. Unfortunately the lack of continuity is killing us. We may have dodged the bullet this year, but we won't always be so lucky. Point guards and leaders like Darius Brown ar...

Re: Final game observation

We made some dumb fouls early. We did panic and we were selfish in our offense, but certainly the refs didn't help early.

That said, Purdue is the better team. We were outmatched at every position, almost.

Darius Brown and Great Osobor proved to me that they can play on any Big 10 team and start.

Roster changes? Obviously, certain players may leave with Sprinkle. Do we keep Sakho? He doesn't seem to listen to any coaching. Let Burris go? Sakho doesn’t listen to any coaching? Huh? His foul rate is off the charts. Yes. He's not listening. He plays because we need size, but on a deeper roster,...

https://bracketologists.com/team/purdue-boilermakers Look at this team’s resume — a 53 pt win over a really good Samford team. Non-con wins over Arizona, Tennessee, Gonzaga, and Alabama. Basically ran through the Big 10 like a buzz saw. Definitely a Final Four team. Very easily could see them winni...

The guy that Darius Brown is most like is Kenny Smith on the court. Darius has a better release and better rotation on the ball but they both have very similar styles.

@GameFAQSAggie Your thinking is right. We're going to need 4 guys to guard Edey and my guess is that all four will have at least 4 fouls by the end of regulation. I just hope that Osobor is trailing the rest of the bunch in fouls and is drawing at least as many fouls on them.

Great has several "launch points" in his arsenal, he doesn't need to shoot over top of his defender. Using his size and long arms to keep the defender behind him to protect against the blocked shot and scooping the layup from underneath. Adrian Dantley (yeah, I'm dating myself) won NBA scoring titl...

If he Eddy is guarding Johnson then we need fish to hit some 3s. If he guards osabor then we need to give osabor space to operate, hopefully draw some fouls. I'm not sure how we stop him. We gotta be tough on defense and rebound the ball, box him out. Everyone is assuming Purdue will play a lot of ...

Re: Condensed Game

TCU's coach got out-coached in this game. Their game plan was terrible. Not doubling Osobor early in the game was a huge mistake. Not going small against us and putting more ball pressure on Darius was also a huge mistake.

Luckily against Purdue we don't have to worry about ball pressure much.

The announcers were skeptical that Ian would've made the dunk.

Ian would have made that dunk.
AND it was a flagrant foul. The opponent didn't go after the ball. He just whacked Ian in the face.

we were truly going to win was when Ian went for the poster dunk!!!! He didn't even make it, but his aggression told me everything I needed to know. We were not going to let up. Try to stay out of foul trouble, especially the bigs. Edey gets officiated differently than any other player in the game. He draws fouls like crazy but they don’t call many against him. Note: I’m not trying to blame the refs before the game even starts, just pointing out what everyone in the countr...

It will take some good rotations and double team to slow him down. The Boilmakers are beatable though. Wisconsin, who went down today, took them out in the Big 10 tournament. The Big Fish will be needed along with some others. Edey can't win the game by himself. We have to have a good game out of K...

Sako will have to have one of his better games, #1. #2, we need to exploit Osobor again. Edey won't guard him. And even if Edey guards him, Osobor can still score on him. #3, we still need Darius Brown to show he's the best guard on the floor just like he did tonight. #4 guard their shooters/get tur...

It was also helpful that the refs were letting both teams play! Physical game that let us have our players on the court. I felt that this was something we've also needed for 20 years.
