A Shot Doctor May Cure Ags' Shooting Woes

Queta opens up a floor. He hasn't drawn a double team more than once or twice this season yet. He played all season for us last year and it affects shooting. We don't have many players who can create their own shot of the dribble, and that's what many have been asked to do you this point in the seas...

Re: How quickly it's forgotten

Queta also represents a roster shake up. I know we all feel like he's been part of the team all season and his integration should just be a given, but he's played less minutes this season than Porter had played to this point last year. Up to last year's air Force game, Porter had played 154 minutes,...

Re: I'm out on Miller

I say this as someone defending Miller, but that mostly shows he's our 4th worst starter defensively (only ahead of Porter) and Brito is also ahead of him. Miller isn't bad defensively, but his rating is more dependent on the rest of the guys he plays with than his abilities But he is defensively s...

I know for certain that we could find a handful of threads from just two years ago about how Diogo Brito is "just not good enough to play at this level". Same can be said about Justin Bean from just one year ago. Point being... Sometimes good things take time. https://www.usufans.com/Forums/viewtop...

It was a good attempt.

It will also be very easy for them to say "it didn't work out here's 5 dollar tickets anyway," and not lose any time of the actual promo they'd set up.

This whole Queta saga revealed what I have named the Normal normal curve among Aggie fans. Most fans sit there in that 68% region, neither too high or too low, aren't prone to outbursts at the slightest sign of adversity at one end of the curve, and don't start threads seriously speculating on whet...

Queta Back?

There was no chance we have his first time on the court this season on the road at San Jose. One of the most enjoyable facts about Queta is that he's into spectacle. You don't get that in an away game against the last place team in the conference. A home game against Fresno this weekend, however, wi...

I am fine with Smith's decision as long as we don't have people coming on here after a loss due to poor press breaker or turnovers due to pressure defense. Oh, that will happen. Every loss will bring out the I-told-you-sos. And no matter how good we are we could always have been better if we had ju...

To be fair, anyone claiming Louisiana is better is just insane. Spent two years in the swamp, and if it were possible to get that food anywhere else there would be no reason for the state to exist.

The team clearly can play, just has issues with pressure and some production besides Mays. When you're only playing 7 it can be rough. But I think they're going to be just fine. 6-10 losses on the season and they're still right with us.

One big thing will be to make Mayes try to beat us by himself. Against VCU he took the last 4 possessions single handedly, didn't pass once, and they went from tied to losing. There's some ego to be exploited there. Wade is a good coach, but star mentality has been a thorn in their side since he got...

The takeaway here, IMO, is that we don't need to rely on just one guy at any position. Porter has an off night, Miller and Brito combine for 9 assists.
