Re: Dallin Grant - New Commit

What was the phrase Jackie Robinson's manager used? "I don't care if you're white, black, orange, or purple. If he can help us win, he's playing." I probably botched that, but If we start losing, then I'll be more concerned about who we recruit. Agreed and I would also include where we recruit to t...

Re: I learned a new High School Football rule tonight that doesn't make sense

I have always thought the pass interference penalty is too punitive. It should only be an automatic first down if it occurs beyond the sticks.

People need to settle down. We are all disappointed, but it is just football. Those in power are doing what they think is best after consulting with experts. We'll survive.

Re: No College Football this fall according to 2 P5 ADs

I think it is more about the crowds and the inability to control the spread than about player safety. It sucks. There are no easy answers. I don't think anyone wants to shut down college sports, and I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with the information they have.

Re: If Both Gach withdraws from the NBA draft he wants to play for Utah State

Both Gach offers something we have lacked: pure athleticism. I have watched him play a couple of times and would love to have him. Don't put too much stock into his 3 pt shooting stats. That isn't who he is. He is a slasher and finisher. Insanely athletic. He does things that Miller and Brito never ...

I would definitely put the odds of having any kind of season in the fall at less than 50%, but I don't know anything. Just my feeling.

And not having a football season could be catastrophic for our athletic program.

Yeah. I'm just sad. The NCAA tournament is by far my favorite sporting event. More than the nba Finals? Stockton and Malone vs Jordan and pippen didn't do it for you huh? Re: NBA draft stock watch: Rising first-round picks and breakthrough prospects

I love me some Sam Merrill, but there are several things that hurt his draft stock: 1. Age. 24 is like Methuselah when it comes to the draft. It is a huge negative. It would be better if he were 21 or 22. Not many college seniors get drafted. Even fewer that took two years off. 2. Let's face it. Sam...

Guys, we have been over this. Merrill is a great player. One of the best we have seen at Utah State. He will make a ton of money playing basketball. But..... In fairness, at the time we were in a ridiculous tailspin. Luckily the team has mostly righted the ship. They made up for it in the second half with a nearly equally bad call on the play where Queta just beat the shot clock on the low block. He clearly traveled. uhh, USU won't get the 11 seed because they were good enough to get a at large invite even if they didn't win the MWC tournament.
