Re: Official statement by the refs
What they meant to say is "we forgot that was the rule." But that sounds horrible, so instead they make up some (I can't express myself without swearing) about thinking it hit the rim.

Re: Of all the home games to lose
I just think the scouting report is in on us and is relatively simple. Play very physical defense, especially down low.

Re: Spectrum Magic
The Spicer shot to beat Utah. The crowd was so loud it was almost quiet. I was with a die-hard Ute fan friend that just turned to me with his mouth gaping open. He said he had never heard anything that loud and that it was awesome. That same phenomenon happened again when Stavon Williams hit about 3...

I think a lot of us have imposter syndrome. All top 25 teams struggle in some games and have bad stretches. We just pay closer attention to our own team.

Does anyone read newspapers anymore? I would have been much more outraged about this 15-20 years ago. Sure you would have been. I haven't read the Trib in years. I can't remember the last time I visited their website. And I don't know anyone who does. Apparently somebody must, since I guess they st...

Re: Tuesday night at the Pit
We are going to lose a few more games this year. The conference is tough and road wins are hard to come by. It's OK. A loss to NM in the Pit would not be anything to be ashamed of. That said, this team keeps impressing me with their ability to find ways to win.

I think we are. When you watch highlights of other teams, you are seeing their best. You don't see the stretches where they are being outplayed or missing shots.

Re: The Other Side
I thought they let a lot go in the first half which played into Osobor’s struggles and into UNLV’s favor. In the second half they called the game much tighter which benefitted our style of basketball. What a fun afternoon! Also, apparently you can swing around on the rim all you want and it’s not a...

I say, who cares? Let the students have fun. That is part of what makes college basketball great. They will remember that and keep coming back. Some of them may become fans for life after that experience.

How about the play where they took away Great’s bucket calling the foul on the floor. Then we pass it in to Great and they call a charge on Great even though it should have been a flop on their dude. That guy literally launched himself into the ground when he saw Great was about to back him down. T...

Re: Alabama man
I actually hope for a split someday relatively soon. There is just no way to compete with Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, et al. It will only get worse as TV contracts continue to increase and NIL money continues to become the norm. It sucks, but there really isn't anything we can rea...

I don't think it is that aggressive teams get more calls necessarily. I think it is that they get fouled more often.

Re: Such a weird game tonight
Yeah, basketball is definitely a game of runs. The past few years it seems like we had very long scoreless droughts of 6-8 minutes at times. I didn't think last night was particularly odd. The home team almost always makes a push to end the game. That is part of what makes true road games tough. We ...

Re: SDSU perspective on lawsuit OSU and WSU have with PAC
Colorado St. and Air Force carry no more of the Denver market than we carry the SLC market or SDSU carries the San Diego market for that matter. If it is just about media markets, SJSU would be a shoo-in. And they certainly wouldn't need both CSU and AFA for the Denver market. It is a combination of...

Kick Boise out then. Bring in Wazzup, Cal, Stanford, and Oregon State. No need for Bozo. They are a bit like BYU. Just hard to work with.

Re: NM v USU Post game New York Mediots
Isn't the entire purpose of the net to take bias out and rank teams based on record, margin of victory, strength of schedule, etc.? Why do we separately consider those things in addition to Net? Doesn't our net rating take into account our bad losses already?

Re: 3 in the key warning
I was a little triggered by the ref doing this, but someone pointed out to me. Who really wants the game decided on a 3 second violation that had no impact on the play? SJSU lost control of the ball and we made the point on the other end that gave us the victory. That was my point. Do we really wan...

Re: 3 in the key warning
How often is 3 seconds called? And do you really expect that call in the final minute of a tied game? Where the fact that he was in the key was providing no real advantage in that moment?
Warn the guy and if he gets out no problem.
I think the ref did the right thing.

Re: Should we try "COW BELLS" for Noise at the MAV?
I think there is an NCAA rule against artificial noise makers, but Miss St. got a special exemption for the tradition or was grandfathered in or something. I think it would be fun at times, but would get really annoying if it was constant.

I tried the nut butter burger from Lucky 13 once. I love peanut butter and burgers, but they just didn't really work together for me. It wasn't gross or anything, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Of the unconventional toppings, my fave is fried mac and cheese. Delicious.

I took my youngest son to the game last night. During the second half I texted my wife some words that I never ever thought I would:. "I don't think I need to come to any more games this year.
