Re: Volleyball - Leah Laboy
somewhat related note, with the MW championships being in Logan this coming season I wonder if they will do that tournament in the Spectrum? I do not know that answer, but that would make more sense outside of the replay system issue.

That is one I was waiting to listen to on a car ride with my daughter. But maybe I should have moved it up and listened to it solo.

Rodriguez was planning on a gap semester, maybe gap year the last I heard. Also, she may be staying in conference as of the last location I was hearing.

With Rob I expect this team to be ready to play. I will expect them to improve and fight. As for the W/L, not sure. But the leadership that this staff has, and the track record, I expect to be good. I think the locker room will come together more this year than last year. So hopefully that helps. B...

Gymnastics Locker room
Didn't see it posted here but the gymnastics team opened up a new locker room on Friday. My wife and I went up and were part of the festivities as we donated a locker. We were the youngest people there that were not a parent of a gymnast. Good to see some advances with facilities. I had asked ...

I think we need another setter for next year. We had 3 on the team last year and lost 2 now.
I do not remember how many were in the class we just signed, but think we would want to carry 3.

I do not have any inside info there. If people watched the team last year, they would have been able to see that they just didn't look like a cohesive group. They were talented as all get out, and that got them victories. But looked a bit like an old guard vs new guard from my seat. To be clear - I ...

Re: Volleyball Conference Play
I might be crazy, but I actually prefer playing in the Estes. We might be able to get a few hundred more people to a volleyball game in the spectrum, but the Estes is a pretty good size for the majority of the games. I think it gets pretty loud in there too. I do wonder if there is enough space to ...

Rob is well respected. He is heavily involved in GMS+ that is used by coaches all over for training and improvements. I use GMS+ in the club I coach at and they have levels form beginners to collegiate. I wonder if he is a part owner in that. The National team gives a lot of credibility, but the men...

It’s disappointing that we can consistently get 19,000 at the Mav, but we can’t fill the 10,000 + seat Spectrum. . . I used to think like this, but then realized that there are several thousand fans that come to the Mav from outside of the Cache Valley, mostly Weber, Davis and Salt Lake Counties. A...

probably more than anyone knows. But they are special to ME, and so I gave them a vote. But I would not want them now.
Best is subjective for memories and the fact we have a NCAA win.

That is funny.
I know one of them very well and have watched many Weber matches the past 2 years. Before her injury they had an all-american, 2 years I think.

Re: Students told not to say anything to players at volleyball
I know the ref talked to people and then USU staff went over to the students. It looked like from my seats that the students were told to stay off the blue painted area. I only say that as that is what the conversation looked like as people were pointing to the floor. It could be that Weber said som...

Re: Students told not to say anything to players at volleyball
In the 2nd set we were told very explicitly not to say anything to the players at all or we'd be escorted out. Not even stuff like "hey [player] you suck" or even just saying their names. I have questions about why that happened. Someone on BYU obviously complained, but why respond to it to that po...

We were down 9-5, then 13-12. On match point we hit an ace to win it 15-13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Wilton-Laboy had a serious Mean Mug at the LMU coach/team after that ace.
