Re: The Utah Freaking Jazz...

I'm super excited for these guys. I really hope this turns into the most consequential off season ever. I'd say the biggest off season the Jazz have had so far was when they got Boozer and Okur. At the time those seemed like pretty solid signings but both turned out to be huge and were some of the s...

Re: Aggie legends podcast with David Collette is up

He is still a d bag from my viewpoint. He could have sucked it up for one year, then left at the end of the season. No one with a shred of integrity leaves at the time he did. I'm with you on what he should have done. Deciding to stay over the summer to see what would happen was a selfish move. It ...

Re: Average Height

There are a lot of players on a team. Average height doesn't necessarily mean a lot since some of those players may rarely see the floor. For example, it didn't mean a lot when Carson Shanks was on our team when he pulled the average up. It would probably be better to look at average height of just ...

I like this one from that thread. Oops. "The JC recruits, Knight III and Davis, look good. I even like the two freshman. T. Knight could turn into a solid pure PG, and Fakira a solid post player. I'm just not impressed by Queta. The HS senior to be that we offered earlier this month, Olamuyiwa, is a...

Re: NAR: Dave Rose being pushed out at BYU?

The situation seems a lot like ours with Stew. He seemed to be basically pressured to step down after a few down years after a very successful career. Let's hope the next few are like our Duryea years. Alex Jensen would be a home run hire though. Hard to imagine that one not working out if they can ...

Re: In hindsight, the MWC should have taken us and

I agree. I'm guessing that the main reason for including SJSU was the number of TV sets in the bay area, but how that matters if nobody is watching escapes me . Plus, If UNM ever has ANYTHING to say about it, NMSU will NEVER be in the same league. I live in the Bay Area and a school couldn't be car...

A bit off topic, but it's interesting how the old WAC schools own the MWC in both football and basketball. It’s difficult for me to believe USU “owns” either basketball or football. In football we had a break-out season but didn’t make it to the CCG. The last three seasons we had losing records. Th...

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the concussions aren't the biggest problem in football; repeated hard hits wearing a helmet that protects the skull but doesn't protect the brain from jostling around in there is. For this reason, rugby and hockey players don't suffer...

Let's all agree Stew was a very good coach. But I do not put him in the "legend" category. In fact. His recruiting was no more than just ok. I don't hate either team as much as I used to since leaving the state of Utah. From an "outsider's" perspective Utah has been a lot worse to USU in recent years and I hope they lose a low-scoring close game.

It seems unwise on his part to make so much out of this. If Utah did talk to him or a third party against NCAA rules then they may want to stay away from him so as not to implicate themselves with all the light being shed on the situation.

What a shame. From the beginning I never felt he was committed to us. We were his only choice from the beginning and before coming here he talked about being a lifelong BYU fan. Kind of surprising Utah is where people are saying he is going.
