Re: NAR: Ivy League

The world's response to this virus is insane. This feels a lot like H1N1 where people were nervous about it spreading and being serious, and then it spread and became a pandemic. But the difference is once swine flu spread people just kind of realized they probably wouldn't die from it and moved on...

San Francisco. But I'm working remotely from Cache Valley in December and I really wish I lived here. Logan is the greatest. I also wish there were more than two people in the state of Utah who do the work I do so it could at least be an option. Oh well.

Re: Rooting for the Utes to make CFP?

A lady next to me on my flight last night bought wifi to keep track of the game. It was so great peeking down at her phone, seeing the score, and noticing her shift and sigh uncomfortably throughout the flight. I kept my mouth shut but definitely enjoyed it.

Re: #9 in Rebounds per Game

I had only really paid attention to Bean sporadically on TV games until the St. Mary's game. With those seats being so close to the court no matter where you are you get a good look. I was so impressed with him, especially in that second half. He's so unassuming but he just knows how to get to the b...

To reach that scenario we’d have to lose in the conference tournament. That leaves us one loss away from matching the ranked team that got snubbed.

Re: Uber and Lyft in Logan

I work at Lyft HQ in SF. I get free credits every month and whenever I go to Logan I use Lyft pretty often. It works the exact same way it does anywhere else and it should cost roughly what you'd expect anywhere else. As dhilk said, there are usually only a few active drivers at any given time, whic...

Re: Great Video from Ute fan

I will never be able to understand how Aggies can cheer for Utah unless you went there for grad school or something. I'm not saying you should cheer for BYU, but disliking BYU doesn't mean you should cheer for a school that has screwed us over countless times with a fan base almost as high and might...

Re: Who do you want to win byu-utah?

You're all crazy. I get the dislike of BYU fans, but the Utah institution has done a lot more to hurt USU over the years than BYU. And in the past few years Utah has shown an arrogance and disdain for USU that far outdoes anything BYU has done to USU in the past few decades. The only argument I've s...

I'm super excited for these guys. I really hope this turns into the most consequential off season ever. I'd say the biggest off season the Jazz have had so far was when they got Boozer and Okur. At the time those seemed like pretty solid signings but both turned out to be huge and were some of the s...

He is still a d bag from my viewpoint. He could have sucked it up for one year, then left at the end of the season. No one with a shred of integrity leaves at the time he did. I'm with you on what he should have done. Deciding to stay over the summer to see what would happen was a selfish move. It ...

There are a lot of players on a team. Average height doesn't necessarily mean a lot since some of those players may rarely see the floor. For example, it didn't mean a lot when Carson Shanks was on our team when he pulled the average up. It would probably be better to look at average height of just ...

The situation seems a lot like ours with Stew. He seemed to be basically pressured to step down after a few down years after a very successful career. I agree. I'm guessing that the main reason for including SJSU was the number of TV sets in the bay area, but how that matters if nobody is watching escapes me . Plus, If UNM ever has ANYTHING to say about it, NMSU will NEVER be in the same league. I live in the Bay Area and a school couldn't be car...

A bit off topic, but it's interesting how the old WAC schools own the MWC in both football and basketball. It’s difficult for me to believe USU “owns” either basketball or football. In football we had a break-out season but didn’t make it to the CCG. The last three seasons we had losing records. Th...
