Re: Legas…gone
Too many people on here speaking out of both sides of their mouth. Upset that we are mediocre, so coach goes out and tries to upgrade at the positions he feels will impact performance the most, then folks complain that he is mismanaging the QB room when one of them gets beat out and wants to transf...

Re: Booster Rules
With NIL it doesn't seem like there are any rules. Or they aren't going to be enforced.

Re: Legas…gone
We wonder why coaches aren't loyal. Guy won us our first MWC Title and after two bowl eligible seasons we want him out the door. How long does he get to skate by on the MWC title? I'm not saying fire him, but I'd love to know if these players are solely leaving for more money (not much you can do a...

We wonder why coaches aren't loyal. Guy won us our first MWC Title and after two bowl eligible seasons we want him out the door. Very few people wanted him out the door. A lot of us wanted him gone if he didn't fire Cauthen like he needed to. Everything he said pointed towards him not wanting to an...

Re: Legas…gone
Are any New Mexico State quarterbacks going to enter the portal that Dreiling would know. He probably wouldn't have dealt with the kids that started as much, but he would be familiar with whoever was running scout team for him.
The new secondary coach might know the available Nevada quarterbacks.

Wow, this sucks. Reminds me a bit of GA 2.0's debacle brining in Jason Shelley. RIP QB room. Colombi was substantially better than Legas though How does arrive at that conclusion? Cooper Legas' QB rating last year was not only significantly higher than Colombi's ever was at any point in his career,...

Re: Mason Flaslev at Arctic Cirlce
I love AC but their pricing has gotten a little crazy. My wife and I took the kid there for dessert recently and ended up spending $20+ for three shakes. That's everywhere isn't it? I miss the dollar menu. This. It's like pick your poison with prices of food going up from where you were comfortable...

Hillstead leaving makes it so Barnes will likely now be #3. Probably still a first in history.

Quarterbacks to watch for
Watch for quarterbacks around the country next season that lose their starting jobs. One of them is our likely 2025 starting quarterback.

What we should do is have a lottery where everyone gets a topic, and whoever has the topic that the millionth post is about gets a prize. And in the case of the post being in the sandbox, the first post in one of the sports forums after that. It is on pace to come at about the time of the end of foo...

Plain and simple, Fitzgerald isn't the devastation that a few other guys would be, but we would be better off holding onto him than we are losing him.

Re: Transfer Portal Palooza (Spring ball edition)
We just lost a surprise. This one is going to hurt. I say we let players coming to USU (or returning to USU) announce their own stuff, but if they're leaving us all niceties are off. Let it fly, 22! The problem is that sometimes his source may be someone OTHER than the player that is leaving.

Is Trey Andersen or anyone else threatening to overtake Cole Motes
For the starting job? Or are all the backups just as bad or worse than Motes at letting guys past him? Or is Motes able to look good in practice cause he is playing against defenders that aren't any better. There was talk of trying to recruit over everyone, and it would be nice if Petras turns out t...

I was hoping if he did end up leaving, it would be cause of us having a guy overtake him on the depth chart that is at least equal to him in eligibility.

I would very much like seeing Dallin Hall transfer to Utah State. I was sitting right next to Dallin when he was visiting Utah State as a junior in high school. Re: A memory test
If 2012 happens in 2011 do we ever get Dave Aranda? It would have depended on if the coach we hired wanted him. One thing easily forgotten was that his stock was pretty low when we hired him, as he was fresh off Hawaii's defense not being good while he was their DC, including blowing it against us ...

Re: A memory test
Yep Smith missed most of the season too. Rough year for injuries and delayed the rebuild by a season. Our 2011 season happens in 2010 if healthy and we probably are less likely to blow all the close games in 2011 and have a 2012 type season in 2011. It's interesting to think what would have happene...

I remember this year fondly, my first at USU. Loss at OU, we put up a fight after going down big early. FCS win, I think Idaho State. BYU win. My Aggiedom was locked down that day. Fresno loss, didn’t feel competitive Narrow win against NMSU. Hawaii killed us at home in the snow. Idaho womped us at...

4-8 record, but the Ags were highly competitive, unlike the prior years. Remember how we were just awful in the WAC? 2009 is the year I remember for a 4-8 record, but being highly competitive, and being happy with that compared to prior years. 2010 was when we also had a 4-8 record, and we actually...

In the other thread, it came up that Diondre Borel is remembered fondly for the 2010 BYU game alone, causing us to barely care or remember how the other games that year turned out. I thought this would be worth starting a new thread about rather than as a reply. Nearly all of us, when we are reminde...

It would be really awkward to run the program if you didn't believe it yourself. Not saying it doesn't happen at certain places, but imagine being the coach of byu during 2011 when you have the best team maybe in your history and you have to suspend one of your best players for something that is no...
