Re: Press Conference Tuesday

Neither Tod or Todd will be the next HC at USU Any insight as to who it will be? He gave a hint in another thread. I’d assume the hint was Henderson And that could've been just another test leak. Maybe Diana knows now that she can trust whoever she has told that it's the Eastern Washington guy caus...

Re: Our current Guys haven’t portaled, officially.

Whoever ends up with the Gig, we will know right away what the players think. It will be very telling if we hired the right guy or not. I don’t know if that’s true… people left when smith came in, people left when Odom came in, and people left when sprinkle came in. I’d love to not lose any players...

I sure hope you are right. Neither one of these move the needle much.

Can you give us a hint?
The hint he gave in another thread was South Dakota State's coach. But that was just as likely another test leak like the others we have had.

Re: Not a Fan of Sabua Thus Far

Correct me if I'm wrong didn't we go to the MW Championship Game and get an at large bid during the Odom era with the finesse style of play? Correct me if I’m wrong we got mushroom stamped in both of them? Or lost by 40+ to Purdue? In the second round of the NCAAs which we would take everything year.

I hope this is intentional and not just a three ring circus. Goodman wouldn’t have run with his intel unless it was good. I’m guessing it was true that things were close with TK, but perhaps things have since changed. We will know soon enough. It was also suggested that Sabua didn't like Goodman le...

It looks like they are testing out false leaks again, and other people have been told it's the Eastern Washington guy, the South Dakota State guy or Andy Hill and are keeping their mouths shut.

We will have to see if we hear reports shortly of AD members being let go for violating their signed NDA.

Southern Utah players

For all the talk of Simon bringing Bowling Green players, the other possibility could be guys that played for Simon at Southern Utah. Guys that hadn't proven themselves at SUU enough for him to want to take to Bowling Green that year, but that he was wanting to wait and see on. Or guys he knows that...

Rank the five coaches that left us

How would you rate the five coaches across both sports that left us? I would go 1. Gary 1.0 2. Sprinkle 3. Wells 4. Odom 5. Smith Obviously, all five have their pros and cons in comparison to the others. And of course, some people are going to be more into football caring more that we finally starte...

Even though I do sometimes will point out his miss on Smith to Utah not happening, there are ALOT of things he has hit on that I can recall just off the top of my head.

I do know he hits on some things going on with the teams even more accurately than the players themselves.

Honestly, there is part of me that is happy that Sprinkle left because I was worried that USU was going to overpay him based on one lucky season. If he became mediocre with several years remaining on a $2 million per year contract, that puts our program in a very bad spot. Happened with our Footbal...

The Cache Valley Mall won't be around much longer. It is going to be demolished soon in favor of a new shopping center that has a hotel and apartments. Alot of stores anticipating it have moved to other locations.

A secondary good thing about FINALLY getting the first round win

One secondary good thing about finally getting a first round win is that we can have confidence that we can see our team have an occasional hiccup debacle of a game and not freak out thinking it's the end of the world. Ineptimusprime pointed out that part of the reason why there was so most hand wri...

Yeah, I think Sprinkle leaving might be coloring your view of the season. I still remember the 2012 football season as the best football season of my lifetime, not the season where Coach Andersen left. Yeah, but Coach Andersen built that team. I’m also just not convinced he’s going to get a better offer elsewhere. He had a nice season, but nothing super special. If we truly have a top 1/3 MW collective, I’d hope we’d be competitive. The real problem is donors may be hesitant to pay for Mason to stay one more year and then get burned by h...

I look at it is quality over quantity. A high quality of the ONE year we had him for over quantity of years, even if they are good years, good enough to get poached by someone but only come with NCAA one and dones.

I am glad we didn’t sign up to pay $2 million for a coach. That’s not a good bit of business because: (1) it isn’t enough to keep someone from moving up if the call comes; (2) it’s way too much to owe if the coach doesn’t replicate the same performance.
