Re: Shovel Pass

I loved the shovel pass. I loved how Terrell knew what was coming, but did not give away any indication what the play was. It was for sure the right decision to go for it. There is 4 minutes left and if you punt you may not see the ball back. It was great block from Alifua to spring him as well. I ...

Re: Carson Strong

Zach Wilson is very good. I'll give him that. He went to a QB graveyard though. If he's good enough to turn the Jets around, that'll really be something. Regardless, Jordan Love could lead Green Bay to 3 straight Super Bowls and still get less local press than Zach Wilson will get for every TD he t...

Shoutout to Connor Coles

While the offense worked through some development over the course of the evening, Coles did a great job of being steady throughout the game. His reliability kept us within reach. Great game for a kid who waited in the wings during Eberle's awesomeness. Way to go!

I saw Slackwater mentioned in this thread. I know several foodies who love Slackwater, and it just doesn't click for me. The food is decent, but nothing excellent. It probably hasn't helped that the service has been poor each time I've been there. What am I missing there?

Re: Draft Day!

Just an absolute pleasure to have watched his Aggie career. His Blue-White debut showed loads of potential, the total domination of St. Maries, the freshman game against Caravacho with the steal, drive, and dunk, beating Nevada, comeback from injury, the entire junior year domination. What a player!!!

Re: The hopefully definitive offseason thread

Chris Murray checks in with his thoughts.. At this point, I think he's a heck of a lot closer than Sean Paul. I laughed (with something between joy and spite) at Sean Paul's ranking of Boise, but I think Chris Murray has the better projection. Chris Murray has the audacity to watch all of the MWC t...

At my place of business, all employees have the extensive background checks. For those coming from out-of-state, we're currently waiting six weeks to two months. Imagine a...

Re: Stew was a True Aggie! Why?

Stew was fantastic. He wasn't perfect. He also stayed long enough to have his imperfections on full display. I had to chuckle at the comment about the "occasional trip to the dance." He went 8 times in his first 13 years, obviously didn't go in his last four years. His stretch was phenomenal compare...

Sounds like your observation is that shooting did us in. Mine is that turnovers were the more significant problem. You'll just have to disagree with me on what would have been helpful.

No thanks on Newbold. Guy went 3 of 13 from 3 in NCAA tournament games.
He also had a grand total of three turnovers in those games. More possessions and heady passing would have been a significant boon against Tech.

Neemi had a massive game, but I've gotta give my vote to Bean. That was primo Justin Bean tonight! I think a big man's stats in juco are tough to take at face value. The grand majority of possessions in juco games I've watched involve the inbounds pass and maybe one or two more passes. Bigs were generally expected to crash the offensive boards if they wanted to get touches. I can remember maybe t...

Re: One huge difference between Smith and Stew

Stew ran an offense designed to get good shots, and he demanded good shots of his players. He ran the best offense of any Aggie coach in my lifetime. That's my biggest dislike of Coach Smith's approach. Bean has two games this season in which he's actually made three-pointers. He should not be shoo...
