Re: Great Osobor Appreciation

I think the most unappreciated part of Great’s game is how he runs the floor as a big. It helps that DB was able to see that and get him the ball for his efforts.

Re: Current State of USU Basketball

I don’t feel like there needs to be a rush to fill the last few spots. The top teams are recruiting multiple players for each spot. As the top teams start to fill up, the prospects for players that didn’t commit get reduced. My guess is a lot of players who left will end up without a home. Last year...

The next escalation is making players employees and having contracts. It’s inevitable at this point.

Re: WSU

I think the best move is for the MWC to threaten to leave them without a home until they realize that they have no leverage, then relent and let them in without special treatment. I have been continually dismissed, if not railed, on this board for suggesting the same. But, but, we make SOOOO much m...

I want to see long standing rivalries continue. We have a long history of playing against Weber State, Utah, and BYU. We don’t have a long history against UVU and Utah Tech… and I’m unsure we have much history against UVSC or Dixie State either.

But Oregon State in name alone is considered a step up in perception. Which is why I said what I said. "Heard it first" heard nothing first. Personally, if it continues down this road, I would prefer that normal students no longer pay for athletics in their student fees. I would also prefer that these "student" athletes start paying their own way in school. No more athletics scholarships. Ultimately, I would prefer that these teams no l...

I’m old enough to remember a few months ago when the collective was talked about as a way to retain players, rather than as an incentive to new players to sign. Toledo is objectively light years ahead of Bowling Green and SUU in every possible metric. Comparing Todd to Tod is apples to oranges, Tod has obviously had more success but never reaching a NCAA tournament is a tough pill to swallow. Not making it in one year at Bowling Green doesn’t mean much, an...

I'm not sure I see these showing Todd is much better than Tod. I think the only reason you are thinking that is because Tod hasn't left Toledo for them to drop off. His improvement is just as dramatic as the others and his consistent KenPom ranking is well above Todd's. The MAC is generally a worse...

That makes me really not want to hire an Assistant. South Dakota under Eric Peterson tanked. It makes me like Todd a little more. Everyone saw how ridiculous the system was and that it needed to be fixed. So chan...
