Re: Phil Krueger died

Chuck was a huge improvement over his predecessor (whose name I won't mention). I remember Chuck commenting that when he got here the players literally didn't even know how to tackle properly. The teaching of fundamentals by the prior staff was apparently abysmal.

Re: Feel bad for Love

Honestly, I don't think Aaron Rodgers should have to do anything for Jordan. This is professional football and Rodgers doesn't have to train the guy the team picked to replace him. It's his job to win games NOW. It's Jordan's job to learn as quickly as possible and in the event Rodgers were to get ...

Re: Feel bad for Love

So much negative press around the packers selecting him. I also hear Rogers is pissed and most likely wont take Love under his wings to mentor him. Rough start for Jordan. Hope he silences the critics I disagree. He is the talk of the draft and all eyes will be on him this fall. A real chance to sh...

Re: Jlove on front page of ESPN

GB has the most storied QB tradition in the league (Herbert, Rote, Starr, Favre, Rogers). If Love landed there and could be the next great QB in that linage it would be cool as heck.

The organization you start with means everything. The Packers have a storied QB tradition. If Love can get drafted by the Pack, it isn't even a close question between them and the Raiders.

Re: Chuck Shelton Passed Away

He took over from Chris Pella ( a disaster) and I remember Coach Shelton commenting that when he got here the players literally didn't even know how to tackle. He was a great coach. I especially remember him beating Utah---twice I think---and the players stomping on the "U" in the Rice Stadium end-z...

Re: Did Breaker Mendenhall get past 22 or did I miss it?

I could not care less if he had zero offers. Bobby Wagner had one. Zach V. had zero. Nick V. had one. Kyler Fack. had zero. Jordan Love had zero. I could go on and on.... The kid is 6'2 and 180 bs. He is a coach's son so he likely has a high football IQ and I suspect is pretty bright too. His dad wa...

There's no reason for us to NOT start using Peasley the way the Saints use Taysom Hill.

Re-watching the Kent State game reminded me just how good that kid has been for us. He's been "money" his whole career here in addition to having such an infectious personality. He's unique.

So is Ena that bad? GA can coach defense. We know that. Why no adjustments? BTW, our linebackers, excepting Woody, sucked---everyone of them.

I still cannot believe we lost to them . Re-watching the game right now. Our run defense is embarrassing. We simply don't have the horses and we are slow as molasses.

Yes. Hats off to Hawaii. To me, their defeat of the Cougs shows that we lost that game on the basis of emotion and psychology (and perhaps defensive coaching) but not necessarily talent.

Newsflash: a lot of very successful USU teams have had a lot of players that smoked weed. I’ve seen it firsthand.
But a team captain and QB is supposed to be made of better stuff, specially with a lucrative NFL career awaiting him. How effing stupid can he be?? :headscratch:
