Nevertheless it should come as no surprise that Coach Smith's favorite programming involves solo wilderness survival and one of th...

Respectfully speaking of course, I think some of you are being blinded by the last name. We should be aiming for better pieces to the puzzle.
A proven D1 player that shoots nearly 40% from three? I think we could use a few of those.

I am dead inside

We should be watching first round tourney action today, and I am still in mourning.

But I guess me being dead inside is worth a lot of other people not being dead on the outside.

Re: Ranking and bracket tracker

I really think we end up with a 9 or 10. We have finished our conference tournament, while all but one other team between 30 and 40 haven’t. Most of them will lose in their conference tournaments, especially since 5 are in the Big 10. So we sit at 10 to 11 now, but by the process of elimination, I ...

Unless the committee really likes our wins over LSU, Florida, and SDSU and gives us consideration for injuries, it’s looking like a 10 or 11 seed.

Re: ETSU or Wofford

I think a Wofford win would be good because it squeezes another bubble team out and replaces them with a team that will be seeded lower than us (Wofford). Also ETSU still has a decent at large chance, and a loss would ensure they get seeded lower than us (if they make it) and would help us out in th...

Re: NET rankings

There just seems to be too much weight on who you play. Look at Marquette. 18-12 overall 3-8 on the road, 8-10 in conference, 2-8 against the top half of the Big East and they have lost 6 out of their last 7 games yet they have a 26 net ranking and bracketologists have them pretty safely in the dan...

Re: NET rankings

You have to remember that this late in the season, what the teams you played do has greater influence on your NET than what you do. Among other things, SDSU got a bump from Creighton who beat #8 Seton Hall by double digits. I think this is true. It’s a little silly we didn’t get more of a bump for ...

Re: Grad Transfers

If we take a grad transfer or two this year, I don’t think we’d be mortgaging the future. We’ve got a ton of young guys to break in next year with no D1 experience (Ashworth, Worster, Nigel John, and Liam McChesney) that would seem to be our future, and that would benefit from a player or two with D...

This is just like the people that scrutinize whether the Aggie football team catches a P-5 team in a down year and play the "what if..." scenario game where they compare the USU opponent to one another G-5 team played and beat. Eventually USU is going to have tio just win one of those games. At thi...

1. I hope we get no higher than a #10 seed. 2. I don't know why people care about the NET ratings. The committee will use the numbers like a bunch of politicians to suit them as they see fit and it will favor the majors. I can’t imagine a system that has the top 3 of 4 teams being mid majors is going to last very long. There is a chance we could play Marquette in either a 7-10 or 8-9 matchup.... I would love this for the McEwen storyline, but also because Marquette is Charmin soft. Just doing the math on our NET ranking (which the committee followed pretty closely last year), we are a 10 seed. A 10 seed is our pl...

Up only 4 spots in NET

Well, beating the No. 5 team in the country didn’t even allow us to recover from playing Wyoming. Only up 4 spots to 39. I’m a little shocked that’s all we got, honestly. At this point though I’d prefer a 10 or 11 seed to an 8 or 9, so I’m okay with it. Hoping for a matchup with the 8th place Big 10...
