Re: Sprinkle's (possible) replacements

I will say, I’m not optimistic on how good we’d be next season with Todd Simon. I doubt he’ll be able to retain most of our players, and there’s not a single player on his roster that gets me excited that could follow him here. Doesn’t feel like a recipe to be very good next year, but hopefully he’s...

https://x.com/hoopsweiss/status/1773164303442497965?s=46 Dick Weiss saying Todd Simon is the leader. rAggie is saying it’s Hill. Hmmm. I think a contingent of Aggie fans is gonna flip no matter who it is. There’s zero consensus around a candidate this year. I would be fine with just about any of the...

Re: Who should be our next head coach!

As of this hour I believe Andy Hill is the favorite for getting the job. Duryea like success incoming. Assuming Hill is the choice, this is nothing like when Duryea was hired with all due respect. The program had zero mojo and energy when Stew retired and we hired an assistant from a lame duck regi...

Re: Who should be our next head coach!

All of the outside options this offseason seem far more "blah" than Sprinkle did last year, and none of them aside from Kowalczyk have an attractive group of players to bring with. Just being honest! That's why hiring Hill or even Haslem would be acceptable to me and may be the option I most prefer ...

Re: Interesting Blue A Collective Article

That article highlights an interesting tension that I hadn't considered for the people running the collective -- they of course want to run out and offer Mason and Isaac a bunch of money to stay, but they don't want to do that only for the new coach to come in with different ideas for the roster. Re...

Who is the “right hire” and when should we expect an announcement? Feels like things should have been ready to move pretty quickly given the more than month’s notice we had on this.

The only thing that’s surprising to me about this is that Brenchley is the only one in the portal so far. Maybe he’s just the fastest at filling everything out paperwork-wise😂?

I’ll be honest, Tod getting the job reminds me a lot of Blake getting the job here. I’m also just not convinced he’s going to get a better offer elsewhere. He had a nice season, but nothing super special. If we truly have a top 1/3 MW collective, I’d hope we’d be competitive.

Mason is not an NBA player. He’s not wild about living overseas. So wait — the plan is to break Cache Valley’s hea...

My hell, people. It’s a business and Danny just 3x’d his salary. I’m happy he took the time to even tell his PR person to say anything.

He got us a tourney win. Let him go and be classy. We’ll find another coach and the cycle will repeat. It is the way of things.

You are making the case for Sprinkle taking the job and $$$.

You’re right — the balls don’t often bounce as favorably as they did for us this year. Real chance we wouldn’t have been as good record-wise next year with the same team, so he had to strike now.
