I'm just pleasantly surprised that it appears one of the three Euros that Smith's staff went after might actually prove to be a decent role player. I really thought none of them would see a full 4 years at USU.
He’s earned the benefit of the doubt from me on recruiting with them plus Worster.

Re: Fresno State up by 6 at the half against Boise State.

The committee will see we lost to Boise twice. Losing to Boise twice who beat Fresno by 1 or losing to Boise twice who lost by 2 to Fresno won't make a difference. I'd rather have security in the 3 seed because we probably need to win the tournament to get in anyway. And if we don't the Boise Fresno...

Up to ten. Probably doesn't affect us realistically either way so I'll cheer for Boise to lose and help us secure that 3 seed.

The athletic bubble watch: Utah State (15-7, 13-4; NET: 49, SOS: 93): Nevada isn’t the world’s greatest team, but the Wolfpack are a top-100-ish squad, which is to say that when you beat them twice in two nights you can boost your chances of making the NCAA Tournament, even if from a quantitative st...

It's also hard to take him seriously after reading his takes in the sandbox. Evidence based reason isn't high on the priority list. I try to keep them distinct. Shulga has more points, rebounds, assists, and steals than Nevada's entire combined bench with 8 mins to go.

Jazz are pretty big favorites go win it all going by 538's ELO ratings. They're tied first at 20% with the clippers using their player based ratings which are more thorough and take injuries and clutch performance into account. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210225/89900afad66fa33bf637e736b7b672...

The Athletic: Queta most undervalued player in draft

For you cheap peasants: The draft hype cycle can be a really interesting ride sometimes. Take Neemias Queta, for instance. As a freshman at Utah State freshly arrived from Portugal, the 7-footer was seen by many as a late first-round pick in 2019. His skill level was a concern, but he was productive...

My spirit animal is probably a honey bee. Bees' testicles explode after doing the deed ...

The Clips lost last night, so that essentially erases the damage done by the Jazz loss the other night. As long as they hold on to the No. 1 seed, I am OK with an occasional loss. This isn't like college basketball where you simply can't lose. When teams go on long winning streaks, the pressure bui...

They're actually not at home they're playing on UTEPs field. Only thing worse than getting blasted by a D2 team is doing it at your rival's stadium because you can't play in yours.

NMSU setting a new low

Down 40-7 at home to a D2 team transitioning to FCS. Oh and by the way the d2 team is missing their starting QB, RB, WR, and two OL.

Looking at about 400-100 in total yards ten minutes into the third.
