Re: Quinn Taylor with the dagger

We needed every point last Tuesday. I would say being up by four our guys basically gave Taylor the inbounds roll to nearly half court and the final 3 point shot and points. Had the lead been 3 or 2 the defensive strategy certainly would have been different. Quinn’s shot was the dagger Sam’s free t...

I would feel more comfortable with that when he develops a 3 point hook shot.
Yeah. He should DEFINITELY be working on that.

Lacrosse. Tactical richness, faster paced, higher scoring, and you still get violence. Where else can you hit someone with a metal stick? Best of all worlds.

I'm not a fan of blackouts for us. I think they work well for teams with red or green in their color scheme, but not so much with Navy blue. It's already dark. Just stick with that. At least it's not an orange-out like CSU does sometimes. They do this to remember their past. They used to have orang...

But analytics broke the Curse of the Bambino. Love that show. But Baseball is truly a 1 on 1 game -- pitcher v. hitter. Basketball is not. Did anyone else notice the defender thinking there was another shooter in the corner? He jumped back to defend them thinking porter was going to give the ball up again. Re: WR Saosi Mariner coming to USUi

It's hard for me to be too critical of any player that's part of Utah's passing game. The question becomes one of coaching vs personnel. Does Utah's passing game suck because of the coaches, or the players? If the players, is it on the receivers or the QB? Mariner dropped a bunch of passes that sho...

Re: WR Saosi Mariner coming to USU

I think we are settling but I hope I'm wrong. Hopefully Mariner's lack of production over his career is due to Utah's lack of offensive production. If settling is getting a guy that was getting solid playing time at a P5 school, then I’m okay with settling. This at least fills a need in a major way...

I feel like we've only scratched the surface with him. I've seen some very Hakeem Olajuwon-esque moves that I have loved. I'm ok with this analysis, actually. You're saying he gave up 5 points in the first half, and 14 in the second. You attribute this to a lack of lateral quickness, so he plays off his man. If that were true, then why didn't they score more on him in the first half? I still think they were told to pac...
