Re: For those who are freaking out about Kowalczyk
For those upset about a non-sexy vanilla hire I’ll say this — I’m ready for some stability to come to this program as we are now on our fourth coach since Smith left four years ago. The coaches at SDS, CSU, BSU and Nevada are decidedly not sexy either.

I'm hearing it is a done deal. $4M per. We'll wait to see if my source is correct. Nothing is leaked or official yet So you heard it is a done deal, but nothing is official yet. Re: Sprinkle to Washington
For what it's worth (take that for what it's worth), I'm not hearing this. That doesn't mean we're not losing Sprinkles at the end of this season though. I'm always suspicious of this kind of stuff getting "leaked" right before a big game/tournament, etc.; it's almost like it's meant to hurt us. An...

Sooner or later the ones providing the NIL will actually want a return on their investment, or penalty fees for those jumping the fence. Return on investment? There is no return on the investment. NIL and collectives are simply a means of renting a player for a year depending on the agreement. They...

Do I think the Aggies and the MWC got screwed on their seedings? Absolutely. But at the end of the day do you know who is the best at placing teams where they should be seeded in the grand pecking order of things? The NCAA Committee? Nope. TeamRankngs? Nope Lunardi? Nope Ken Pom? Nope The NET? Nope ...

I would also point out that Smith and Odom were found using a hiring firm. Jerry Bovee found Sprinkle all by himself. Who knows what Sabau will want to do? hopefully find us a GOOD coach WHO WANT'S TO BE HERE and STAY HERE! That would be cool. In other words hire a coach that will have modest succe...

Re: Net drops 9 spots to 39
Don't know about that, but this whole NET thing is lousy with ad hoc stink. Agreed. The NET is bogus this season. I feel that the NCAA tournament will show that. The NET is a computer model with certain weighted metrics. To my knowledge it wasn’t tweaked this year over last year to induce any bias....

Re: Danny Extension Offer
One small detail that keeps getting lost in this mess. NILs are not run or organized by the AD or the University admin. They are wholly separate and run by boosters and those with a rooting interest in a particular University. As it exists now, donor-fueled NIL collectives must run independently an...

Re: NCAA Tournament Seed?
Right now in the NCAA bracket matrix, USU is a 7 seed, but right on the cusp of being a 6 seed. I actually think if we can beat Wyoming & then SDSU, we would become a potential 5 seed in the tournament. Assuming Nevada moves up 1 spot in the NET, we would then become only the 5th team in the entire...

Re: The Net rankings are losing my trust
This late in the season the results of a single game is not going to have a tremendous effect on NET movement. RUTS certainly has an effect. But here’s the secret sauce to the NET recipe: beat the spread and move up; fail to cover the spread and move down. The Aggies were a 3.5 point favorite last n...

Re: Welp...Sprinkle frontrunner for Washington?
I am so weary of the drama. If Sprinkle does depart USU wil have had 6 coaches during the time Leon Rice has been the HC at BSU. The notion that it’s possible to pick up the pieces every two to three years is fiction. Continuity is the hallmark of a great program not constant turnover. And even that...

Re: What SHOULD be a red flag for Washington or anyone else
One thing that Washington should look at as a red flag is that if Danny is willing to mentally check out of USU and negotiate with Washington in season with alot of ball left to play, he would be just as willing to do the SAME THING to them when a job more prestigious than them, like Kansas, Kentuc...

Gotta enjoy the good years while they're here. Go to the conference tournament, go to the NCAA 's, have fun while we're alive. Hopefully the AD can wisely use the buyout money. We'll see how good Sabau is at hiring Agreed — what sucks the most is the timing of this news leaking. If we end up losing...

Where should we take from the football budget? What gets cut? We don’t cut anywhere, we double or triple the student fees to 90 dollars a semester instead of 30. We have the University make a guarantee that they will get our budget in the range of the top 3rd in the conference. Those two things, wi...

Speaking of OOC. @ AggieFBObsession, I mostly agree with what you say. It’s been a great ride this year. Sprinkle will get the conference COTY award and could also earn the national award. FYI. The #1 seed in the Big 10 tourney has won it 40% of the time -/ the most of any seed. If the Aggies are to win the MWC tour...

It’s no wonder our NET is sliding south. With the exception of the SDS game our recent play has been mediocre. We have been unable to cover the point spread. For the presumptive winner of the conference crown we sure don’t look the part. However, I am pleased that Martinez broke out of his funk. Un...

If we somehow end up “tied” with boise at the end of all this. Can anyone actually say that it is a “shared title” since we beat them twice? I know we won’t, but others will. Yes, others (including the conference will. And that’s what the record books will show until the end of time. There is no 1A...

When a BSU team we've beaten twice jumps up 6 spots after a RUTS game to 26, and we drop 6 spots after an escape game to 35...well, I understand the movement, but the result leaves a team with a worse overall record than us that we've beaten twice nine spots ahead of us in the rankings. I think we are somewhat blinded by Great's stat lines. He had 3 or 4 times that many turnovers in the game so I'm not sure why it only shows 2. Hell, he had turnovers in back-to-back possessions twice in the game. He lost the ball going up with it several times and threw the ball away on fast break...
