New Nick Name for Coach A

Utah State will get the services of an Alabama transfer, receiver Xavier Williams, a former four-star recruit out of Hollywood, Florida. USU’s Blake Anderson looks to continue his role as the ultimate purveyor of the portal, Dr. Transfer.

Re: My issue with the scewjob

Quick question, was the official who made the call on Bean the same that was on the baseline that didn't give the call to Bean?

Trying to read the tea leaves?

If we meet an undefeated SDSU in the conference championship game and lose, do we still get slotted into the MW conference champions spot in the bowl because SDSU goes to a New Years bowl? The leaves are very murky

Questions about Prop 1

Looking at prop #1 on ourkids1st.com, If passed the U of U will bring home 6.8 mill and USU around 4.8 Million etc.. I thought that USU with all the satellite campuses had more students than the U? Why are they getting the lions share of the money? How much does this bump up coach Wells pay? Are all...

Re: Gonzaga isn't joining the MWC

A bunch of you are up in the night saying there are hard feelings with BYU and the MW. I'm looking at the current and past football schedule from the past 5 or so years and it seem that BYU will play and/or has played more members of the MW than any other conference. GO TO BED unless you have better...

Most High Schools football teams (in the state of Utah) are in the red around the tune of 80k fyi.

Re: Thoughts on a new stadium

with all the new construction projects happening on and around campus there has to be a bump in enrollment. How would 5k-10k more students affect attendance to any sporting event?

Is it just me or driving around campus and seeing all the new housing projects, when are we going to increase enrollment numbers and how many are we talking? This could very well boost our attendance.

Lets say the Mountain West goes undefeated through out the bowls. Since the conference shares revenue giving the winning team more of the pot.... what is our chunck?

Re: Whatever happened with.........

Did some of you really think we were going to go undefeated? I welcome these losses as a good measurement of how we are going to look in the MW. I enjoy the level of play better than playing Western Wyoming Tech Beauty School.I still stand by what I've been saying, We are going to have growing pains...

Re: You better get up to the Spectrum!

Jumping in on the bandwagon. Some of the players showed some potential last night and made me very excited for this season. As mentioned before, with so many young players we are going to have growing pains. However, by then end of the season I really think this group of players gel and become one o...

Re: I Am Cautiously Optimistic

I am more optimistic if we are saying win/loss. However, We still do not have an inside game! As mentioned before some of our players don't have a face up game and many like to hang out around the 3pt line even though, with nobody guarding them they shoot at best 50% from the arc.

My take on the primetime madness

With two young children and many give aways (much like tailgating), I attended the primetime madness. The best player on the floor was Rector (no one really contested him on his way to the hoop). Janicek doesn't have a face up game, shoot right handed hooks. I think Stall is taller than 6'9'' as he ...

Re: Give Matt Wells a break

I thought that everybody on this site knew that it doesn't matter if you have a winning or loosing record, it only matters if you beat BYU. I'm just saying that in the eyes of most of the fans we could loose the rest of our games except for BYU and Matt Wells would be put into hero status again and ...

Re: Jason Buck wants BYU in MWC. Warning - BYU related

He spoke to a group of us last year at a meeting. After the meeting, the audience was invited to get a picture or what not with him. While up there to see what it was like to have Mr. Woods as a teammate (he told me he was a gangster being from the Fresno area). The question was asked if he would li...

Re: Don Shula Quote On Quarterbacks

So what gives, if Hobbs looks the part what aren't we seeing? I think this may be like Mays last year, that killed it on the plays he was in but only got 3-4 touches a game (because he didn't know the other plays well enough and had real poor blocking). Does Hobbs not know the plays or have a bad to...

Re: Don Shula Quote On Quarterbacks

I think I understand your point. However, Hobbs has taken a few snaps this year and has really not impressed me on what he has done. I think Nelson threw the 4th and 18 to the place kicker in the Air Force game, which was a nice pass but it didn't get into the end zone or get the first down. So are ...

Re: slightly AR: SI says BYU chances at big-12 crumbling

Agreed. They were insisting on 2-for-1 deals when they were in the Mountain West. If Provo High were accepted into the B12-2, their heavy-handed dealings with USU would only get worse.

Cant see the forest from the trees? Do you really think teams like Boise are demanding less?

Re: slightly AR: SI says BYU chances at big-12 crumbling

I don't understand the hate. I think that if BYU was accepted into the Big 12 it would actually help USU football brand, my reasons: 1. They have shown that they are willing to play us unlike other P.5 teams. 2. Is the state of Utah really known for a football product? With another P.5 school it wou...

Too early in the season to start pointing fingers. Yes, some fans, cheerleaders need to be educated but I think that will come with time and winning more games.
