Re: Non-conference schedule

Rothstein just announced a neutral game against South Florida in Houston. Our non-conference schedule will be our toughest ever, a shame none of the games will be in Logan tho

I want a 7/10 matchup. Don’t care if we are a 10. Still a relative toss-up and a much more winnable second round game than an 8/9

We haven't won a tournament game in nearly 20 years. Let's focus on getting to the round of 32 before we worry about our second round matchup.

Re: Go Aztecs

New Mexico, Boise and CSU are all very talented offensively. I think Air Force is the best possible matchup for us but I don't see how they end up in 7th. Feels like the winner of UNM and Boise tomorrow will be our opponent.

Re: Go Aztecs

Can someone much smarter than me summarize our most likely potential first round tourney matchups? There is a real possibility of CSU, Air Force and then either New Mexico or Boise (whoever wins tomorrow night) all finishing at 8-10. I'm not sure what the tiebreakers are there. My question is who d...

Selection Show format

I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here, but I hope the NCAA goes back to the old format this year. Last year they announced the teams in alphabetical order instead of showing the bracket. If we are on the bubble it will be a long wait until they get to the “U’s.”

Re: CSU throttles BSU in Boise

Don't forget how Queta dominated Carvacho in the first matchup. I think we will be just fine. The one thing tonight's game does mean is that if we end up with the 2 seed, it is looking increasingly likely we will face CSU or Air Force in the quarterfinals.

Aggie fans always have a new excuse. When we were in the WAC, they complained about the competition level and the "we never play anybody" mantra. Then we join the Mountain West but our program falters. But now we play both good competition and have a great team and people still won't come. Maybe it'...

Re: MWC Basketball Budgets & Cost of Wins

I love seeing the Aggies in 2nd in the league, but I also want to beat UNLV, SDSU and UNM when they are at their best. New Mexico needs to try and get Steve Alford back. SDSU made the wrong call by keeping Dutcher over Hutson. I wonder how patient New Mexico will be with Paul Weir.

I disagree, with how weak the bubble is I truly believe if the Aggies can win out in the regular season they will have a great shot at an at-large. That would put us at 25-6 (15-3) heading to Vegas

Re: First 4 Out (ESPN)

Why are people considering Nevada at home an automatic loss? I personally think the Aggies have a great chance to beat them in Logan. It’ll likely be a matchup of the top two teams the last week of the regular season. The Spectrum will be at its best. Nevada has been vulnerable on the road so far.

Normally I would agree, but we are starting slow and holes like that are hard to dig out of. We can get away with it against SJSU and Wyoming, but we will not always be so lucky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Exactly, the slow starts have got to stop. It's been consistent enough now that a sha...

He is listed at 6-6. If he is a dog on the boards that will make up for his lack of height. As well as the fact he will share the front court with Queta.

However many post touches Queta gets, double it. He was 6-6 tonight, should’ve had double the field goal attempts. They had no answer for him.

Gary ought to be licking his chops at the thought of Love returning at QB, let him put a touch of his own on the defensive side of the ball and we could really have something.
