The transfer portal has been a net positive for USU
I understand the complaints about the ever changing landscape of college basketball, but thought it would be interesting to compile a list of additions and departures from the portal over the last 4 years (since Odom was hired) as our presence in the portal has increased since then. For context, I a...

Re: Tucker Anderson
He’s our Starting 3. It depends who comes back, (Great) but: This probably pushes Uduje to the bench. I imagine Falslev Martinez, Anderson, Great, and Fish are the starters. If great doesn’t come back I imagine Gaterese at the 5 with fish at the 4. Is Mason making a move to Point guard this year? I...

Re: Tucker Anderson
It very well could push Fish to the bench. That will be an interesting battle between those 2 as the other 4 starting spots seem set.

Hey, if he posts literally every player that enters the portal, then he can claim that he predicted it when inevitably one of them transfers here!

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
I thought we wanted someone who would be likely to stay? Diana may have found that and we still find a way to (I can’t express myself without swearing) about it. Impossible to please our fans I don't give a sh*t if our coaches stay, as long as we continue to win, and win when it matters. I'd rather...

Because people get a hard on for coaches with a “Utah connection”StanfordAggie wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 12:46 pmI'm confused why people were excited about Simon, who also has zero tournament appearances, and less wins over a shorter career than Kowalcyzk. I, for one, think that this is a fantastic hire.

Let’s go!! I believe this gives us a great shot at retaining our players and commits!! Player retention should be near the bottom of the list of priorities for hiring a coach. Crazy to me that the guy was able to land that kind of interest after 3/4 of a season just because of a stupid "returned no points" narrative. I am fairly certain that we will have far more impressive candidates interested than two “meh” coaches from the MAC after the season we just had. I mean like who? Josh Schertz should absolutely be our #1 target with DeVries off the board. I know he was rumored to have landed the Saint Louis job but hasn’t been finalized yet. I wonder if he has expressed interest in other jobs? Wishful thinking I know Maybe I'm wrong, but color me skeptical that this is the y...

Our last 2 coaches had both been to the NCAA tournament with their previous schools when we hired them. I think many of you are shortchanging the type of candidates this job attracts. You don’t hire a coach for roster retention purposes. Period.

Burris was by far the biggest disappointment on this team. He should head back to the Big Sky Jackson Grant says hold my 🍺 I actually had expectations for Burris tho. Grant did nothing at Washington. I never thought he’d be a critical piece of this team. Many of us thought Burris would be a starter...

No hard feelings towards Sprinkle when he leaves. Winning a tournament game is all we’ve ever asked for and he delivered in 1 year at the helm.

We won’t. We aren’t in the WAC or Big West anymore. We will be a 7-10 seed each time we make the tournament. I think we can start winning more regularly and hopefully get to a Sweet 16 soon!

Every Aggie basketball season is going to end in a loss. Winning a first round game was a dream come true for me and this doesn’t take away from that accomplishment at all. Seeing us share the stage with a #1 seed was pretty surreal.
