Re: What is your take on players getting paid?

I can understand the desire to let an athlete make money from their likeness, but it opens an avenue for massive abuse. Does Auburn now pay Cam Newton $1,000,000 to do endorsements instead of $250,000 under the table?

Re: What is your take on players getting paid?

Does Title IX make this al but impossible? Do you pay every track, golf, and X-country athlete? Do they pay the university money at the end of their career for the money lost by sponsoring their sport? Does the walk-in get the same payment as the star QB? It is a slippery slope and while I’m on boar...

Ray was a stud. He volunteered at a pancake breakfast a couple of years after he graduated. I couldn’t believe how small he was. I loved the war cry thing he did against NMSU and the time he broke the annoying Idaho State point guard in half twice on picks in the back court were awesome. One of my a...

Re: Feel bad for Love

I follow the Packers closely and I have never heard anything but praise from every single back up QB he has had in the QB room with him. I think this is mostly just drumming up stories to get clicks. I fully expect Rodgers to treat Jordan with respect and to connect quite well with him as a person,...

Re: What Jordan Love should teach recruits

Wow that was a lot of writing... what do the 14 draft picks from LSU tell recruits? I know every kid wants to go to Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, or Clemson so they can be on national TV and compete for a national championship. But Jordan Love should teach recruits that if they wish to hope for an NFL ...

Yeah, but no one could stop Tipa in 2018. Double team or not. Last year you didn’t even know he was on the field.

Don’t free agents usually go fast? I remember reading that there is a limited pool of money for each team to spend. There top offers get the most and the rest get little to nothing.

If you don’t act fast you don’t get a guarantee.

Re: Better Receiver Play Next Year!

Do you don’t know who, or how much it would take? Are you running for Congress? My question was more directed at who we should have brought in with Gary. I’m afraid we’re in a position that money is just money and how much we pay would have little return on that investment. That’s not to say we shou...

Re: Better Receiver Play Next Year!

Which offensive assistants would you have replaced last year, and how much more money would it have taken to get them here? Boughknight made $175,000 here ons one year deal and $325,00 per season on a two year deal at Oregon. I don’t think we could have retained him even with a significant raise. I ...

Re: We still have this guy for one more year...

Nathan had some big drops, but he also has some spectacular plays. He wasn’t the problem with our offense, far from it. Nathan, in my opinion, was also playing out of position. I too think it is lazy to blame Love’s decline in production on the talent around him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about moving our best shot guy outside? What about all but ignoring Terrell at tight end? Wrist adopt benching Gerold Bright? When they were forced to play him, they ran him up the gut. Re: 2020 Football-Updated targeting rule

I’d rather see them go to a soccer style targeting where severe spots are auto ejections and incidental blows are a penalty and warning with a second one in a game being an ejection. Get 3 and you’re suspended for a game. This sounds good to me - but only if the ref runs up and holds up a yellow or...

We can’t replace Love’s talent, but last year’s offense was a (I can't express myself without swearing) show. We can be better with less talent and experience by blocking, not running the ball up the middle with speed backs, using the RPO effectively, mixing in some fly sweeps to Scarver, playing gu...

If they cut prices then they should do a two-year promo. Give 50% off one season tickets if you pay for two. I’m not wealthy but I’m fine buying season tickets and given it as a donation. I’d like to see it go to the student athletes and not to pay overblown coaches’ salaries. Sent from my iPhone us...

Re: Does anyone miss the NBA?

Yes, besides USU basketball and the NCAA Tourney, college ball is horrible. Officials completely control the game. Agreed. Either change the way the game is called or give players a sixth foul. Fouls are so subjective and in college depth is usually pretty thin. Games should not be win out list bas...

Good for him, but this is scary. If Abel can go to OSU with a schollie, that means that any of our players can go compost anywhere. If they take away the transfer penalty we won’t be able to hold on to any player that has some success.

One of the most overlooked missed calls that we benefited from.. Quetas air ball that he caught and put back in. That’ a travel every single time. This is college, not the NBA. You can catch your own air ball as long as it was a legitimate shot attempt. Their is no possession and thus no traveling ...

Infield fly with runners on first and second. Batter is out. Runners advancing scramble back to their bases, the runner originally on serving passed the runner in first so he is out. The ball hits the runner that was on first so he is out too. Nobody touches the ball, all three are out. Sent from my...

I have watched Love shoot up the mock draft boards, and I have been left to sit here and wonder what the hell just happened.
