Re: Legas…gone
What coach does this? You have a senior starting quarterback with great stats and has also been loyal to your program and you bring in two quarterbacks to replace him. I wonder how the this will affect the chemistry of the team now that one of their favorite teammates is leaving? Thanks BA! :bangwa...

Re: Hillstead Transferring
Based on what I've seen first hand from Petras nobody will be regretting having him on the roster. Sucks that Hillstead left but not the end of the world I mean it’s true. Legas and Petras have been so far ahead of the rest in practices. The fact Hillstead is leaving is because he knows it. If he b...

Now we need shooters and a post player. Great solves any post player needs, should he stay.

Re: Hillstead Transferring
I’m still not sure why the staff did what they did with the QBs this off season. Bringing in a grad transfer made little sense given that we have a senior starter and a sophomore with a lot of experience. Yet we brought in two grad transfers who had a lot of experience but don’t fit our style of off...

Re: 2024 USU FOOTBALL SPRING BALL: The Quarterback Battle
To be clear, I have no doubt about Coop’s competitive juices or loyalty. He’s got that in spades. It’s about a coach that doesn’t believe in him and doesn’t know how to manage a QB room. And yet all of those QBs came back this season and was able to bring in two veterans for more competition. There...

Re: 2024 USU FOOTBALL SPRING BALL: The Quarterback Battle
I guarantee you that Petras starts, Hillstead redshirts, and that Barnes regrets his decision to come to Utah State. Legas has never been wanted by BA, and he should have just transferred. He may play this year, but only when injuries leave no other choice. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leave a...

Re: Call to Action
So if I’m understanding this correctly, I’m supposed to donate a truckload of money (all of us) to create an endowment where the interest on this money can be used to buy a competitive roster every year because it will be enough to get them here, but not enough to retain them? Right. Screw this crap...

So I’m supposed to root for a new team every year? Sounds fun. Before you at me, I’m as die hard of a fan as there is. This is just getting ridiculous I feel this too. We’re all cheering for laundry to some extent, but losing every contributor two years in a row would feel pretty (I can't express m...

With Osobor, Martinez, and Falslev in the portal and Danny Sprinkle gone; how much should I donate to keep them all and to which funds?

Re: Call to Action
Does it matter how much we donate? We offered to double Danny’s salary. He was gone anyways. It wouldn’t have stopped Odom or Smith either. It wouldn’t have kept GA 1.0 or Wells and if BA were winning at a better clip he’d be gone too. I don’t see NIL as being any different. Had we offered Ashworth ...

Re: We got screwed!!!!
If we are under seeded, say we should be a 6 instead of an 8, then shouldn’t we still be able to get past a 9 seed? I don’t even care that the winner of the 8/9 gets the 1 seed because we’ve lost our last 10 tournament games.

Re: Fouling for profit question
It was one of MANY stupid things we did yesterday to lose the game. We just got a steal out of the press and then we started that nonsense. We should have just gotten overly aggressive and lived with some fouls trying to force turnovers. To give them away freely was not smart.

I was a student at that time and was watching the game with some friends. We erupted when Brown hit the sit to send us to OT. It is nuts that we haven’t won there since.

Re: Passing the ball into the post
It’s because the perimeter defender says down because we have no threat of an outside shot. Teams effectively double the post taking away most of the good angles. Even the weak side defender sags down to stop the lob. Moving the “shooter” away from the entry side pass to Osobor could create some ext...

Not getting great the ball for 8-10 straight minutes was criminal. Dude was cooking today and yet Martinez kept chucking up bricks. That’s what almost cost us this game.

Jared Quayle’s play was at an elite level going into the tournament his senior year. He straight up outplayed Marquette and absent Ricky taco officiating he’d have won that game. He was that good.
