Re: Ike Larsen
Vendetta or just pointing out a pattern of behavior? He has assaulted multiple teammates. This was mentioned previously months ago. Take from it what you will. Why the great interest in Ike ? Hell I do not know what the recruits of USU are doing while in High School. Is this a personal issue with y...

No big deal perhaps some ought ought to let little Ike go, it would appear some folks have a vendetta against him.

Re: Iowa State?
I've said this in other places, but the fact that Smith negotiated his buyout percentage down from 75% in his original contract to 25% in the current contract does not bode well for him staying in Logan long-term. My pessimistic guess is Queta declares for the draft and Smith leaves this offseason....

Re: Out Hustled and Out Coached!
When Stew built up his winning record, we weren't playing teams with the talent that SDSU, Boise or CSU have. Think more along the lines of Weber St. or Fullerton St. This team would be undefeated in a lesser conference. In the MWC we regularly play teams with potential NBA players. That was a rare...

Re: Out Hustled and Out Coached!
Tough loss(es), but our guys will bounce back. Losing Worster hurts. Boise is a really good team and it was in their home floor. I'm afraid there won't be anything to bounce back to. We are most certainly out of consideration for an at large bid. And if there is no conference tournament, there is n...

Re: Smith contract details released
From what I know the last year of his old contract called for $750 . He made $550 plus $100,000 in his first year in Logan for a total of $650,000 Very poor written story.LarryTheAggie wrote: ↑February 16th, 2021, 6:04 pmHe seriously only has a base of 550? I thought his base would be closer to what the max is, like 850.

Re: Desnews article on Utah FB scheduling
Yep nobody needs to play anybody. Why do we play Weber State every year? Other than maybe the late 90's and early 2000's they have never helped us in the NET/RPI and losing to them certainly doesn't make us look good. Yet we play them because it is an in state rivalry that has gone back generations...

Personally, I have no interest in playing BYU and Utah every year in football so I am fine with that not happening. And for whatever reason we seemed to be wed to BYU. How many school should we play that have millions more in their budget ? We need to have schedules that can give us success. Is $30 per game all that expensive ? That does not seem all that much. Those were the cheap seats. Tickets were $50, $35 and $30. Prices this year were definitely higher than normal. I paid $30 and sat in way worse seats than I normally pay less for. So where I sit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapata...

However, for those who don't, yes, it is quite expensive (especially if you have a family--so it turns into $150 p...

I don't know if I'm more excited about how this staff is getting out and getting after it, or upset at how the last staff did very close to jack squat. Were they incompetent, lazy, or both? So much for how complex and nuanced Utah recruiting is. What a load of baloney. I like most here are pleased ...

Re: USU-BYU Series Extended
I do not view YBU as many of you do, I envy their fan support, we are light years behind them in that important factor, and to get them to play home and home is a good thing for the program as their fans help us sell out our 25,000 seat stadium. I believe if we had YBU fan support USU would be in th...

I'm no prophet but I believe we will be better at Q.B., WR. and the O line. On the D. the D line will be much better as will the Line backers, plus the secondary will be stronger . I see improvement all across the board.
I think we can win 5-7 games next season.

I think the athletic department needs to find some way to pay him. I get that we can't stave off the highest of the blue bloods, but we might be able to stave off the also-rans of the P5. We need to find a way to make it less of a no-brainer for him. Utah State is a good job. We should never be afr...
