Re: Colorado States Uniforms

Added a new paragraph to the wiki page: The name Aggies, short for Agriculturalists, is a fixture of many universities that began as land-grant and agricultural colleges. Early USU sports teams were sometimes simply referred to as the "Farmers" as well as the Aggies, though the former name was never...

Re: Colorado States Uniforms

It used to be Colorado A & M - Agricultural and mechanical. "The Scotsman" was around before 1954. President Dixon sang a solo at frosh orientation in 1954 - I was present. I believe the proposal for 'Highlander" got going in the late 1950's or early in the '60's. So it was the Scotsman that promot...

Lots of former Aggies. Someone smarter than me should put together an Aggies early season basketball tournament and rotate current and former Aggies through it.

Scott Garrard is an Aggie. Does a great job at calling games.

Scott Garrard took an opportunity that was presented to him.

The only reason the opportunity was there is because the individual that Al works for would not allow Al to work for the entity that won the bid.

Re: Our offense is really bad.

Worst receiving group we've had in at least a decade. WRs are not the issue. Nathan had been productive for 3 years averaging more than 10 yards per catch. This year he is averaging just 4 yards. Last year he averaged 4 receptions per game. This year he has a total of 3 receptions over two games. S...

Outside of DT, our whole receiver room needs to be demoted. Come on Anderson, why didn't you recruit better receivers in the offseason? It was a major problem last year (with the most talented QB we've ever had at USU) why'd you think it would be any better this year without Love? Instead of d**kin...

Did he have more than 1 target last night?
One on a 3rd and long by Shelley that IIRC was thrown way over his head on an out.

Peasley also threw to him once, his single reception for the night.

Re: Let’s look at Nathan to see how much our offense has regressed

I will say this.... he was the guy to throw the ball to last year to convert a 3rd down.... That and his average reception the last three years was a first down. Nathan is definitely capable of delivering and then some. But last night at the game it become woefully apparent we are incapable of thro...

FWIW - best exchange with the SDSU players on their sideline.

was just prior to the second half. They asked me what an Aggie is. Like what is your mascot. But what does Aggie mean. They seriously did not know. Pretty funny. Didn’t have enough time to go through other Aggies or former Aggies (colo st, ok st, et al) or that we were almost the Highlanders.

Let’s look at Nathan to see how much our offense has regressed

or should I say imploded.

In the prior three years, our favorite player has averaged the following yards per reception:
2017: 13.0
2018: 10.6
2019: 10.4

This year he is averaging 4 yards on a total of three receptions. We have major issues.

Re: Worst offensive play calling in nation...

Well. All subjective. But watching body language at the game last night, to me the receivers ran their routes better with Peasley on the field. Seemed to be a little more pop in the way they ran their routes. And with the expectation of a ball coming their way. And with more depth to their routes. A...

I think it is very evident the coaching staff has no confidence in throwing any middle or deep balls. All short stuff. The desperation ball was the only long ball and only by desperation.

Don’t get me wrong this is great news and the season never should have been canceled in the first place. But seriously this just shows how stupid of a decision it was in early August to cancel.
Well. We shall see how we all are doing once flu season hits.
