Re: We're not playing basketball until January at minimum.

The problem with a conference only season would be determining which teams qualify for March Madness when teams aren't able to prove how they stack up or don't stack up with foes from other conferences. They would have to, just as a one time thing, determine officially how many teams get in from ea...

I think this one would make my top 5.

Tyler Newbold with the game winner. We held NMSU to just two points in the last 5 minutes of the game. Without this comeback we don’t go on to the WAC championship.

Re: What if Flynn makes the half court shot?

I have watched the MW Championship game several times over the last few months. It got me wondering... what if that shot from Flynn goes in to send the game to overtime? Do the Aggies still win it? Or does that shot give the Aztecs the momentum to put USU away in overtime? I think the Aggies still ...

Re: What if Flynn makes the half court shot?

I would have been pissed about the non-called foul on Sam's last 3 pointer. He was fouled a lot harder than the foul called against Porter in the first half. Also, the out of bounds call against Queta would have weighed huge, because he had a dunk on that play. This, At any other point during the r...

Re: Depth chart predictions

I see next year as wide open. I hope a team or two can separate themselves from the pack. I don’t think it will bode well for the conference to have a bunch of teams with 5 or more conference losses all in the hunt for the conference regular season as the season winds down. Especially if there aren’...

RJ has committed to Boise State.
I saw a tweet that said the success of jessop at Boise helped him in his commitment. Uh ok.
Funny how players perceive themselves sometimes. Granted I only watched a short video but he didn’t seem to have a game very similar to Jessop’s.

Re: Interview with Hoops prospect R.J. Keene

Watching the tape it appears he could fill a Justin Bean type roll. Looks like he has a nose for the ball. Maybe he fills that roll at the 3, but every team needs a guy like that. Don’t know how to explain it but he has a different body type and unique athleticism, similar to Bean.

Gonzaga and SMC have had a lot of success with international players. These two keep being pointed out as the models of success but these programs achieved success because that international talent is/was mixed with elite athleticism (usually from the US). I still think we are missing that componen...

I am more confused than all of you. So, we had one scholarship left that was said would go unused, and now we offer a kid a scholarship, and the numbers don't add up? What am I missing? I was confused too but I think the problem is the NCAA only allows 15 players on the roster. This signing means 1...

I going to go out on a limb and say this might be the deepest team we've ever had at Utah State. I feel great about the upcoming season. You could be right. It seems crazy to me with the situation we’ve got that we seem to struggling to close the deal. I just want to play the team that gives us the best chance to win and that is Wyoming. Sure if we lose to San Diego State in the championship I still think we have a pretty good shot and an at-large bid. But at this point let's just win the tournament and then remove all doubt. The boys better come...

That two week stretch was marred by injury and health concerns coupled by the top of the iceberg for the shooting slumps of Miller, Porter, and Brito.

Like it is stunning how poor we are shooting the 3 pointer all year, but specifically in conference play. And I know we like to hate on Miller here, but it is so much deeper than Miller. Here are last year's three point shooting and this year in conference. Brock Miller - 35.4% -> 25.6% on 5.6 3's ...

I'm confused about the knock on Miller's defense. I thought I remember reading it was Miller's defense that made him a starter at the beginning of the season last year.
