Re: Going small

In my opinion the small line up is not the main culprit, to me it is all the turnovers, missed shots inside, and giving up critical offensive rebounds. We clean that up we win by 15+ I agree with this, but I would have liked to have seen us play more zone on defense and force them to shoot us out o...

Re: Who Would You Add?

I had to lookup at the makeup of our current roster to decided between Shulga, Ashworth, Funk and Aiken, I suppose you could throw Bairstow in there but don't think anyone would choose him and I could make some case for Dorius just because he wouldn't get pushed around by the other teams center but...

Re: Who Would You Add?

Funk, the most versatile of the bunch and does well playing off the ball. I understand the Shuga and Ashworth but hear me out. We don’t need ball handling or ball dominant guards, as much as we need shooting, and Funk is as much a threat as Ashworth and can shoot over guys with just as good if not b...

Re: I like beating Boise but

Boise remaining schedule is by far the easiest. They could definitely still be champs. They are really good! It is good we hold the tie breaker with them. I expect them to be right there at the end. I’m hoping we aren’t a game behind them in the standings when all is said and done. That Nevada game...

What was Max Rice doing on that last play of regulation? Seemed like he had the best angle to get back on defense and stop an Aggie layup but he just kind of wanders around. His dad actually blamed Roddie for the basket saying he shouldn't have stepped up when the ft was taken and instead played de...

He would start for a lot of teams without his daddy being the coach. Bosie fans are calling for Rice to be fired. They are so tired of US...

It’s been a week since we played, will we be well rested, prepared and ready to go? Or will there be rust? My favorite quote from the ESPN article

Well, I don’t remember too many people saying that we were better off without Collete. There may have been one, that was certainly not the consensus. But yeah, it looks like a bonehead play, although not at the same level as the Collete foul that cost us a game. At least Boone was trying to make a ...

I’m interested in the outcome of this game. If I were betting not sure which way I would go. Curious what you all think, will CSU bounce back or will BSU get som home cooking going? Re: Max is a huge liability on Offense

Max increases our ceiling. Coach has to keep showing confidence in him. If he can be competent this team can go far. Too early to give up on him. I agree at this early juncture in the season, if it starts costing us games than coach needs to put the best chance to win lineup out on the floor, whoev...

Re: Depth - a curiosity scenario

I think it was matchup related. The previous two teams were more three and four guard oriented while Stephen F. Austin had much bigger players to contend with. Templin did a great job of denying the post entry. When he first went in they tried several times to post him up, but they couldn’t even ge...

I don’t put much stock in exhibition game scores. The coach is usually tinkering and doesn’t care win or lose as much as discovering more about his team.

There is some recency bias on there. I like seeing USU on the list but for the west coast teams, Utah and UNLV should be on there. BYU and San Francisco should be lower.
UNLV is #20, I agree the Rick Majeras era should have Utah on there before us if I’m not being biased.
