Re: Aggie legends podcast with David Collette is up

And so he stayed in touch with his aau coach who didn't give him good advice about transfer rules. Then usu compliance didn't want to let him go after he started the season. It's a understandable situation from those perspectives on both sides. I don't think that Collette would disagree to this poi...

Re: Aggie legends podcast with David Collette is up

My opinion is like many on here. 1. Do I feel bad for him that he had to play under Tim? Yes, of course. That must have sucked. 2. Do I fault him for wanting to get out of a bad situation? No, of course not. 3. Do I like the way he left? Not even a little. But I can understand it. 4. Is he a victim ...

Anyone want to give a synopsis? Is it worth listening to if I have little to no interest in Collette and would only want to hear about how/why he left? Thanks in advance for the heads up.

Re: Aggie legends podcast with David Collette is up

Coach Duryea was not a good head coach. Period. David did the best he could to make it work. Aggie fans need to let bygones be bygones. And, look, I never liked the Duryea hire from the beginning. It's too bad that my life was so crazy that I couldn't talk to David in person about it. I wouldn't ha...

Is the Berger one worth listening too? Do they get into any of the drama or is it just him talking about the medical stuff. The Berger one is not worth listening to. It was only about the medical stuff. Plus Danny's dad sat in on the interview. If you listened to this as a non-Aggie fan you would h...

You boys better check your stat lines. Carson played for the Ramblers of Loyola Chicago his senior year. They made the Final Four and Carson played.
Ah you are correct. According to the Loyola Chicago website he played a whopping two minutes.

Shanks played in more Tournament games than Duryea head coached. He also played in as many tournament wins as Stew head coached. Shanks played in 1 tournament game. Stew won 1 tournament game. Duryea coached in 0 tournament games. Just for those trying to keep track. But Shanks wasn't a part of any...

I love the excitement of the players. I appreciate that fans may like this. I don’t think I will unless they bring out a much brighter shade of blue than typical Aggie blue. Or unless we had nighttime “cammo” type jersey. From what I can tell, I’ll leave it at I don’t like this- but I’ll still chee...

Is it safe to assume Coach Smith also has a bonus clause for winning an NCAA tournament game? He get's $20k for each win in the NCAA Tourney. Here are all of his bonuses: https://www.usustats.com/blog/2019/03/08/utah-state-head-coach-craig-smiths-contract-details/ So based on those numbers he's at ...

Re: Coach Craig Smith’s Contract Details

I'd also increase the bonuses for performance. Love a merit-based compensation structure. Seriously, any coach that comes to USU and wins a national championship deserves more than $100,000. As I read it, that would be in addition to the $120,000 of comp for winning all the games along the way. I d...

Re: Coach Craig Smith’s Contract Details

So based on this, what do we all think would be a good base raise? I would say to sign a new contract for another five years with the base pay starting at $750,000.00. I'd say the five years should be: Year 1: $750,000 Year 2: $775,000 Year 3: $825,000 Year 4: $925,000 Year 5: $1,000,000 I think inc...

Do we know what Smith's bonus is if he makes the NCAA tourney (if there is one)? Or winning a game? USUStats just did a write-up today with Coach Smith's contract outlining all of the bonuses (there are a lot of them). He'll get $25k if he wins the conference tourney or $20k for an at-large bid. ht...

I'll be honest, with Duryea as coach I didn't watch a single game last year. I kept an eye on scores but I was not connected to any of the people on the team - I just couldn't stand seeing what was happening to Aggie basketball (this year is completely different). So I went back and read some of the...

I think Sam is a more complete player than Jaycee but no one in an Aggie uniform scores like Jaycee did.

My favorite stat from last night is that he was 15 of 23 on the night. That's 65.2% from the field with a lot of those shots being jumpers. That's amazing.

Have we requested all communication between USU and the conference, between Nevada and the conference, and between USU and Nevada? That should be available via a GRAMA request. I'm seeing if I can use a CORA request here in Colorado for information from the MW.

For Nevada's sake...It is probably a good thing that there was not a security camera showing the USU locker room doorway. From a very credible source who saw much of it first hand and others in the AD. As the Nevada team and coaches passed the locker room and returned that direction they were throw...
