So now we have 2 former Utah State coaches coaching BIG 12 schools!
Maybe position coaches don't count, but Gary Patterson also coached the DBs in 92-94.

Re: Boise State Fan Base

Could this be one small benefit to our current pricing model? I wonder if a decade ago you could get tickets for ten to fifteen bucks, instead of the forty to fifty bucks we pay now. As for me, I came to every game except BYU and Boise due to ticket prices.

Re: Church parking

With an 8:00pm kickoff, there's a pretty good chance the game will be over and people will be back to their cars by midnight unless there is overtime or another weather delay. I believe the last couple of games have been slightly later.

Re: Nevada game - the perfect storm for low attendance

I'm willing to bet that the students show up and pleasantly surprise everyone with remarkable attendance given the crappy weather. With it being fall break, I know a TON of students will already be out of town. I hope I am wrong, but I don't expect too many HURD members. They'll be somewhere warm. ...

Re: Boo to the Upper East concessions

Do you need a recommend to park in the church lot ? Do they care if folks park there? Maybe they will make the lot only open to ybu fans when they come to town. I've parked there several times and it usually fills up. I've never had a problem, but be careful on the later starting games. A couple of...

Re: Holding penalty

I think it is a terrible call. The holding was after the receiver put a shoulder into the DB. Since when can a receiver block down field on a pass play. Should have been offensive pass interference. After the receiver knocks him over is he just supposed to let him run open down the field? But then ...

Re: 2 pt Conversion

I agree, the call was the right one. But to AK's point, what value is Vaughns in that formation? We could have lined him up on the left side, but maybe that would have interfered with what we were trying to do with Dax. Or if that slot is intended for blocking only, bring in a tight end to block.

I don't completely understand this rule, either, but based on these images, since Green is the outside player on the line of scrimmage, Vaughns is ineligible. You put in the 2nd and 3rd teamers when the game is in hand, But you should at least let them run the normal offense enough to score a couple times. And I thought Boise was usually good about not running up the score under Hawkins and Pete. It was usually Hawaii that tried to run up the score. Spea...

If I understand the rules correctly, Swindall is not eligible for a medical redshirt because he used up his regular redshirt before his freshman season. Athletes still only get five years to complete four years of eligibility.

The announcers dissected at least one play where Boise pulls a guard to the outside and makes a block for their runners. In those cases, the extra 15 lbs. probably don't help. Do we have those types of plays with our linemen?

Re: The Crew of BYUtv are still tooting the horse collar hor

From both angles, in the second frame, you can clearly see Brian Suite has the back of Taysom Hill's jersey. In the final frame, the possibility exists that he finishes out the tackle by pulling on the side of the shoulder pads, but that is a legal move. I see no evidence that this is a horse collar...

I'm not so sure it's an "open-and-shut" case. The injury must be incapacitating. That means it must be a season-endi...

Part of the reason Chuckie didn't come back into the Hawaii game was the fact we were winning, but another factor was the nature of the injury. The real question is, what needs to happen for the Aggies to be invited to the 4-team playoff, and what are the odds of each occurring? 1. The Aggies win every game in convincing fashion (50/1) 2. At least one opponent (maybe out of Tennessee, BSU, BYU, the Western Division Champ?) have an otherwise...
