Out coached by this. Haunting. https://i.postimg.cc/R3V0S3Qz/5bee1f960ead4-image.jpg Looks happy to see you. Haha yes. In my nightmares. Seriously next time USU plays BSU that pic should be in locker room to motivate everyone. I have it on good authority that Queta saw said picture just before tipo...

Who knows. I don't.JonnyCienPesos wrote: ↑February 20th, 2021, 10:17 pmIf we are “out-coached” in every game we lose, does Smith out-coach every team he beats? Or does it not work that way?

Of course you and I know wins/losses are a simple and generally accepted measure of coaching performance.

Re: Interesting GA article.
Maybe this has been asked already, but is it possible GA did something that would warrant termination for cause that would disqualify him from contract $, and after discussing with employer, decision was made for GA to walk away and "forfeit" the $ as an amicable and reasonable compromise?

They talk more about USU, more people tune out. Sad but true. Only solution I can think of is USU makes a run like BSU football over several years/decades. Based on what metric? I have many friends and family members who are either BYU or Utah fans. None of them are ever offended by a little USU ta...

I think Sam will need to further develop his PG/ball handling skills, and update to 2021 PG style hustle (not just walking ball up court) to have a better chance of getting more playing time.

is that while both parties would ideally get this incident resolved, and we go into spring ball and Frank starts a job at another school with the incident behind us, as opposed to this dragging on in the news for months, Attorneys are the opposite in that they would consider it ideal for them for t...

I hope Crockett stays. People should get a chance to recover when mistakes are made. She could turn around and make a concerted effort at increasing diversity at USU. Re: Maile's response to Shelley's mom
With hindsight, and enough Shelley shenanigans pre-Fresno (if any) as a basis, maybe Coach Frank could have benched him for the Fresno game and sent the message that way. Not having a decent qb alternative would have amplified the message. Shelley would have probably memorialized his quitting befor...

I want it to be someone like Chuckie. Remember when he was a Freshman and had the "do not hit/tackle me" jersey on, and hit someone anyway? I want that attitude in a coach. Same attitude we saw with VCU bball team. Same attitude Coach Whittingham showed when he on-sidesed the kickoff against WYO whe...

Sadly we have too many of those; happily we have many Aggies (including you and one of the founders of this site) that aren’t alums. I wannabe an ag alum. I don't dare disclose where I got my undergrad degree.

Re: USU Tier 4 Job
Too much fluff in the tier descriptions. If I'm a coach I'm looking at how much $ will be deposited in my account as the most important metric. Show me the tier rankings of coaches salaries with accurate COL adjustments and my guess is we are firmly in tier 4. And probably not too far from the curre...

I have no idea about NBA draft potential. But I REALLY like his college tournament potential. And he was clearly the best player on the court for all three MWC tournament games, regardless of any other player's draft potential. Micah Finn is a good player too. He definitely had an off night. I'd lik...

Sam's move that we never saw?
Didn't Sam say that he was going over that final play scenario and had a move cooked up, but then changed his mind after the sddude was defending so well?
1-I'd like to see the move and 2-Nice audible by Sam BAM Merrill.
SDSU knew EXACTLY what to expect yet he still pulled up, and BAM! Game over.

Re: NIT bracketology. I picked Utah St to win it all(#1 seed)
SDSU and all other Western teams without deep NCAA experience will generally do poorly in the NCAAs. This is partly because the in-conference reffing out West is more ticky tack than back East and in the NCAA tournament. I do think, however, the reffing out West is trending less and less ticky tack,...

Why I like Coach Smith
1. Fist bumps for opposing coaches after Wyoming game.
2. Regularly loses his voice.
3. Called timeout with 7 seconds left after Leon Rice called timeout with 12 seconds left after game was in the refrigerator.
4. Maybe most importantly, shows resilience in the face of opposition.
