Re: Wesley Brooks Named Head WBB Coach
Do the women not play on Stew Morrill court? Why aren't we talking about the women's team on the main basketball forum? I've been vocal about the fact that women's sports deserves its own forum. Between basketball, volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics, I'm pretty sure that we could keep enough intere...

A 10 man rotation will help us when it comes to tournaments. You could tell some of our guys were gassed as tournaments went on. I mean why play 8 guys that make 15 points for every 30 minutes they play when you could play 10 guys that make 15 points for every 30 minutes they play. Based on their p...

Is it bad that I am honestly just fine being in the top half or the conference in football? Meaning at least 6 wins a year, some years we will be better than that, every once in a while we will be in the championship race. As long as that means we are in the top quarter in basketball and the other s...

Okay, he broke the law and I get that but, the kid is a college student, probably 50 percent of college students around the country have done the same thing he got hit for. I took my kids to a Tigers baseball game last year. They have a merry go round where all the animals are tigers. I let my kids ride it for like 2 dollars each. And they pretty much instantly became Tigers fans for life.

Re: does having more pro-Sports in Utah help to raise USU's profile
If we are adding women's sports, I think if makes most sense to add women's gold and women's lacrosse. Both would be fairly inexpensive adds. Lacrosse would be cool and would pay himage to the native American heritage. Golf would be cheap and I heard that it's the sport with the most unused scholars...

I have 22 reasons to believe your knowledge on the topic. When it comes to accuracy 22 is right about ((22^-1 /5 + .21) (100))% of the time. 21.9% of the...

It's Dallin Hall, he is coming to be a backup PG and play some 2. Cougar fans are going to lose their mind when A. Their golden boy comes to USU and B. He is only a backup here, and C. He likes it.

I get why people are saying that it's not worth developing kids (even local) because we're worried about them leaving after a good year. I think the local kids are the ones worth taking a chance on and developing. Not every local kid is going to stay (Ashworth) but Mason was offered a lot more mone...

Anderson is certainly a MWC level starting PG. The fact that he started at on an NCAA tournament team from the MW says how good he is. But I think we have better options. Wyoming, Fresno or SJSU would be lucky to have him. Or maybe CSU, not sure what their plan is without stevens.

I would take him back. I get not letting a guy take they'd name it of the portal and not letting them test the waters. But if a guy leaves then wants to came back year or 2 later, I would treat them like any other transfer portal guy. If he can contribute, offer him a spot.

Hard to overstate how badly we screwed over Jordy Barnes in this whole process. This, the guy put up ridiculous numbers, stayed loyal through two coaching changes and then we cut him off despite having 7 open spots. This. The fact the Tim Duryea was able to win half his games here says a lot.ineptimusprime wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2024, 6:43 pmPretty soon people are going to start to realize it’s USU that’s special, not necessarily the coaches.
I am firmly convinced that USU will make average coaches look good and good coaches look great.

I kind of wonder, as far as NIL is concerned has the football portal losses turned into basketball portal gains? With Coop, Booth and Switzer hitting the portal, does the collective all of the sudden have more cash to throw around in basketball?

I bet there was 200 kids there. He’s doing 2 more 200 kids at $50 head = $10,000. Divide by 8. Not bad for a couple hours work. Even if they had some out of pocket costs to reserve the school, they likely each pocketed over a grand. Unless Mason kept the bigger cut lol. This is how I would say NIL ...
