Re: If you were hartwell 10 months ago

Search firms give deniability, if your coach or the coaches you are looking at are under contract, it's a way to contact them without really contacting them. It's how the game is played now.

Re: As poorly as the coaching staff is handling this season

We are scouted! Good Coaches make adjustments, we run the exact same plays. Easy for defenses to know what is going to happen.

Re: Burrow vs Love

Burrow definitely has much better-receiving options but I was impressed with his ability to make plays under pressure and get first downs when things broke down. Love throws off his back foot and stares down his receivers. His play this year has been awful. Blame it on whoever you want but ultimatel...

Re: Looked like Coaches Expected to get dominated all day

Coaches are pussies, I don't understand why teams that are overmatched don't go for every 4th down and onside every kick. Is there dignity in losing by 30 instead of 40? This game was a waste of time.

Re: Love

It's hard to tell watching on TV but Love seems to lock in on one guy. Maybe the other guys can't get open or he doesn't have time to go through progressions. I thought Nathan and Thompkins would be a much bigger part of the offense. Need a way to get them the ball more. Scarver seems to only be goo...

Re: Smith extension and raise

Most coaches are mercenaries that will take whatever money is thrown their way. We saw that with Anderson and Wells. If they don't they get fired so I can't blame them. It will take a miracle or a boatload of cash to keep Smitb beyond this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Well, also keep in...

Turbin is waiting for the draft. He could end up at the Raiders.

Penn told me he is also waiting for the draft and he thinks he has a couple of years left in him.

Re: Queta - NBA Combine

Strictly from a development stand point, what are the pros and cons of 1 year in the G-league vs 1 year at USU? I'm learning more this week about the G-League than I ever could have wanted to know. The rules seem a lot more complex than Minor League Baseball's 4 levels. Developmentally, my understa...

Re: Queta - NBA Combine

G-League is a poor choice for a big. He won't see the ball. Just a bunch of teams experimenting with chucking 80 3's a game. It would be interesting to see how many bigs called up compared to other positions.

Based on the numbers and stats all Queta has going for him is long arms. He really needs to work on his quickness and vertical. His standing vertical is terrible.

If he has a good agent the agent does not want him in Europe. European contracts and the teams are a nightmare to deal with. It also doesn't help their profile to have guys in Europe. A good agent will understand he will make a lot more waiting a year then a short small payoff somewhere in Europe.

Foul Trouble

College refs seem to have way to much control over games. How many games are decided by players in foul trouble? Half of college coaching seems to be balancing guys with early foul trouble. I think they need to go to 6 fouls per players or use what they do in summer league and if a guy has more than...

If Stew would have been as Charismatic as Smith, USU would have become a media darling and could have become a Gonzaga type program in the early 2000's with better recruiting and seeding.

My biggest concern with GA was his assistants. So far he has done a great job in bringing quality guys, hope he can keep them or replace them as we have success. His assistants at OSU were terrible and was the biggest red flag in him coming back but Sanford and Ena seem really strong.
