Re: Davon Booth to Transfer
Jordan Love saved Wells’ career. It really comes down to people have unrealistic expectations of a good but not top tier G5 program. We aren’t P4. We don’t have the money. We don’t have the fans. Football isn’t a way of life in Utah like it is in the southern region of the country. We have an incre...

Re: Legas…gone
Blake "coached Coop hard" and sitting in the stands right behind the team all last season, it was obvious that he got ripped into much more often than any other QBs. Granted, this is only observation from the stands and I never heard what Blake was screaming at Coop about, but I was more shocked th...

Re: Davon Booth to Transfer
This is the new reality as long as we can compete with peer schools that's fine. There is a pecking order and we are in the middle. We will take lower level guys and flame outs at bigger schools and the bigger schools will take our top players and around and around we go.

Re: Great Osobor
Great would be smart to look to LaDee as an example of finding the right system and the right competition level for development. Trying to develop his game further at the P5 level is going to be much tougher. He won’t be the focal point of the offense, he’ll be up against bigger/stronger/faster ath...

https://x.com/tobias_bass/status/1780996008349999223?s=46&t=NuJ1Icya-XRphdyldXm_lw It appears Jakobe Cole’s did not want to join the team that beat the (I can't express myself without swearing) out of them in the tournament. I will say GCU is a weird choice, they must have a really impressive NIL f...

Re: Unlimited Transfers is Official
Nice for player freedom, not great for fans. I think it will be good for a few in bad situations or those that have proven they are ready for a bigger stage. A larger percentage will get lost in the shuffle. Spend "the best years of their life" with no real friends, relationships or home. A bunch o...

What coach does this? You have a senior starting quarterback with great stats and has also been loyal to your program and you bring in a quarterback to replace him. I wonder how the this will affect the chemistry of the team now that one of their favorite teammates is leaving? Thanks BA! :bangwall:...

Re: Legas…gone
This move makes Hillstead entering the portal look pretty dumb. Glad we were able to pay coop for announcing he was coming back last winter just to enter the portal in the spring. I sure as hell hope we didn’t burn any NIL Cash on Cooper Yup, there were 2 other quarterbacks in USU history with a hi...

Re: Hillstead Transferring
I feel like this whole situation was easily avoidable. The offensive priority for next season should've been OL to keep your QB's on their feet and off the injury report. Then: 1. Legas as the clear QB1 2. Hillstead as the experienced sophomore and QB of the future 3. Sure, bring in Barnes as your ...

Short sighted by Hillstead, wouldn't hurt to have another year without concussions and come in as a RS Sophomore with a chance to start.

Really interesting if Sprinkle takes no one with him. The only way anyone goes with him is if Darius Brown gets that RUMORED extra season of eligibility. How would Darius get another year of eligibility, what’s the pitch? He’s used his Covid year, and Med Red Shirt year and played 4 other years. He...

We need Haslam. Is there even a chance of that?? Nope. He has a new gig. It's just not for me to disclose where. Did he have a spot here and choose this other opportunity or did he not have a spot here at USU That I'm not 100% sure on yet. I would say his move is a step up in perception and a step ...

Most NIL #'s are BS. They count a car lease for the full value of the car. They include housing, insurance, utilities every little thing into the number and even then divide by 2 and subtract 50-100k and that's how much actual cash they get.

Re: USU Transfer Portal Tracker
I do know they did just have their first offseason workout today under Calhoun. It went well and the players seem to like him. Few players that’d you’d be very excited about were in attendance apparently. “Few players” meaning not many or “A few” meaning several? The latter. That’s how I interprete...

Re: UCONN has contacted Great
Honestly, outside UCONN, I like our chances against that list. UCONN is going to be looking to replace Clingan's production primarily, and Great plays in a similar bracket to Samson Johnson. I'd think going there is more of a gamble to start. Playing for a blue blood could be the dream, but even th...
