Re: State of the Aggies

It was a football day and this event was all about Craig. He lights up a room more than anyone I’ve ever met. So engaging, entertaining, and downright hilarious.

Starting safety

In the state of the Aggies address yesterday, Gary was very nervous about not having named the other starting safety alongside Troy. He made It seem like no one had stepped up and won the job yet. I’m curious why It isn’t Shaq. He has a lot of experience from last year and had an incredible scrimmag...

Re: Scotty G

I don't think it needs to be a requirement for our radio voice to hate anyone. Scotty has started a podcast dedicated to all things Aggie where he very openly states that the Aggies are his first love and passion. He can't do that as openly on 1280, and neither does Hans for that matter. They give u...

It would be fun to establish some kind of rivalry with them. Other than in-state schools, and maybe one or two Big West Schools (Irvince, Santa Barbara), I don't think there are any other schools that we've played more often in recent years. Why not keep it going? I also would love a series with New...

I can understand where the kid is coming from. It's hard to be the minority in the place where you live. I remember when I was in Peru for my mission. I was the only white guy around for the vast majority of my time there. Even though the vast majority of people were nice, I still stook out like a ...

I got cheap flights to Raleigh ($120 round trip), but Charlotte would have been better had we found the same deal. We are driving all the way to Clemson on Thursday to catch a game there (and drive the Blue Ridge Parkway), then driving back to Winston-Salem on Friday for the Aggie game.

Phoenix Area Watch Party

Hey all,

I know there are some Arizona Aggies on here. We are getting together at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Tempe (705 S Rural Rd #104, Tempe, AZ 85281) next to Arizona State for a watch party. We'd like to have as many Aggies as possible, so come if you can!

Re: Roll Call for Columbus

If you're not familiar with SkipLagged, it's an app that can save you money by finding flights that are cheaper because you are skipping a leg of your flight. So, for example, this $188 United flight leaves at 8:10 am and takes you through LAX to Montreal. There is a nearly one hour layover in LAX,...

As for roll-call, I will be in Scottsdale for my company's annual meeting and will be unable to be in Columbus. The irony is that the president of our company is a law school classmate of mine, and he is a Washington Husky. While I will be unable to watch most of the 1st and 2nd round games (for th...

Scalping at Thomas and Mack?

We went to the WAC tournament at the Orleans arena back in 2011 with tickets in hand. As we were going in for our game, fans from the previous game were piling out and we had SEVERAL fans from the losing team offer us their tickets, most of them for free. I don't expect losing team fans just to be t...

I’m conflicted with the St Mary’s vs Gonzaga game tonight. I’m interested in watching because they are west coast teams and we beat st Mary’s. But does a st Mary’s win help or hurt us more? Lonardi has them as the first team out and us the first team in. Would bearing the #1 team in the land launch ...

We attended the game in San Diego and had nothing but positive interactions with their fans. They were knowledgeable, complimentary, and respectful. Regardless of where we fall the rest of the season, it's pretty impressive to be on this list in late December. A win against Houston or Nevada and taking care of business in the MW could easily put us in, that's just crazy to think.

How about we pack the house at Sadie’s or El Pinto (HUGE Mexican restaurants with classic New Mexican food) and let everyone there know the Aggies are in town?!
