Yes, what trombone_ninja said. We want few (not a few) Cinderella teams to upset tourney locks.
That’s a nuance of the English language I have never contemplated. That’s got to be hard for non-native speakers.
Maybe not as hard as...”a**”

NAR - Playoff

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. Ohio State

Four best teams. Alabama and Clemson have been on another level all year. Today, Georgia proved they were on that same level. Ohio State is flat out better than Notre Dame and Oklahoma.

Let me have it SEC conspiracy theorists 😂😂 :stirpot:

Re: Aggies break into to 25 CFP

There are NINE 3-loss teams in this latest poll. This comittee is so crooked it hurts. There are 3 SEC teams ahead of the PAC 12's best team (WAZZOU) who is barely a 1-loss team. There are a total of SEVEN SEC teams in this poll. That is half of the god damn conference. Three of those teams have 3 ...

2006. Lost 38-0. 4th straight game to open the year w/o an offensive touchdown. We had sweet uni’s that year. Everyone’s last name was “AGGIES”

Back in Logan this weekend

I’ll be back in Logan this weekend. Where is the “happening” place to watch the game vs Wyoming? Years ago I remember going out to Iggy’s sports bar, which later became Aggy’s. Is that place still around?

Re: How did teams ranked above USU fare?

Does anyone have time to compile and post the results of the teams ranked 16-35? There were plenty of losses among that group, including TCU, which was right ahead of the Aggies. Also, I was disappointed to see that USF and UCF both pulled off one-point victories against lesser AAC competition this...

Pac 12 playoff hopes

They’re slowly going down the drain. Watching this Auburn dumpster fire lose to Tennessee basically takes any “quality loss” for the Pac. Oregon may beat UW and run the table -they’re in SLC next week- so that’s probably the only scenario where they get into the playoff. Even if Notre Dame loses and...

Has anyone ever read through Darryl Chase's Presidential Papers on intercollegiate athletics? They're in the archives at the library. Re: Favorite win over the past few years?

The three you mentioned would be my top 3 but I would add 1) The win over Boise. Probably the programs best win in a long time (l’d have to research). 2) Toledo bowl game. Huge 4th quarter and first bowl win in 19(?) years! 3) Northern Illinois bowl win. Not a great game but they were coming off Ora...

Re: Power 6

No one cares about SJSU. No one cares about UCONN football. As the MWC, other than local interest- the only team that really moves the needle is Boise. The AAC has UCF, USF and Cincinnati. The AAC has had multiple teams bust the NY6 games, and technically has a national championship from last year....

Program turnaround

As expectations have grown, it made me think back 10 years ago and how far this program has come. Since G.A.’s first year, we have 62 wins. It took 17 years before his arrival to get that many wins. So, is there a program anyone can think of that’s changed that much? Not just wins-losses but quality...

Yup. Anyone who was neutral sure had a great game to watch with no emotions. Exactly. This has a different feel than most Alabama losses recently (Ohio state, Oklahoma, ole miss x2). Bama nation is actually ok with this one, we realize how good Clemson is and has been. Also, knowing that the player...

I know there are a couple threads discussing the cfb playoffs but I wanted to highlight tomorrow nights game and get people's predictions. I don't think there is any debate these are the two best teams in the country and feel it's basically a pick 'em. I'm probably the only Alabama fan on this board...

Re: Where were you at during the 01 Ohio State win?

Sophomore at Mountain Crest. I remember walking into class and asking my teacher if we'd be able to watch the game. He said no, so I excused myself for a "bathroom break" and watched the entire game from the library. I was absent from at least two classes that day. I will never forget the breakaway ...

To me, you're both arguing history. The last 2-3 years is a better indication of what COULD happen in this game, but beating your chest over wins against LaTech and N. Illinois isn't too smart IMO. If you don't like the SEC, fine but what is USU all-time against them? 1-something?? And that was agai...
