Re: Could it be????

In most sports, it also comes down to who stays healthy throughout the season. Obviously, our first question is if Queta is even going to be Queta to start the season. If that happens and we stay healthy throughout and we don't let the hype go to our heads, then I predict a super special season.

Re: Reasons USU Wins Saturday (none of them reality-based)

Reason #15: UCF, ranked #18, loses, which begins a string of ranked teams losing this weekend so our upset win gets us as highly ranked as possible.

Wait, that one actually happened. Maybe this is the wrong thread for that.

I used to harbor secret feelings of a potential upset, but after last night, I feel we're too banged up in too many positions.

Re: Obligatory ref complaint thread

I agree with this. Cost us the first down there and added some stress at the end. I felt the ball was snapped and he had nearly made the first down before it got blown dead.

Luckily we won. It is what it is. But I would be ticked about this very play had it cost us the game.

By the time we get to LSU those odds will be 35% once we have a few more wins and the demon decs keep winning this will be on upset alert on gameday. Mark my words. Re: Yards per play

The Aggies lost the time-of possession by almost two minutes to Stony Brook. If they can’t hold the ball for more than 30 minutes against an FCS opponent, it might not happen all year. You're kidding right? Having less time of possession and scoring 62 points simply means we scored quickly and a lo...

So it turns out BYU's losing streak to Utah is old enough that it can now count as a convert baptism.

Best thing: Heisman hype is over and we can focus now on having a great season.

Worst thing: no undefeated season. I recognize that wasn't happening, but some year I'd love to make it half the season undefeated before we blow it.

Our easy fix is to just start beating them regularly, even with less money. Then the fans will at least have to clam up a bit. Here's hoping we can do this for the next few years. Till then, we can't complain much.
