Re: MWR: 4-8 UNLV ends up 5 in College Football Empires map

This is just a form of "last bucket wins." The only people with the possibility of having land at the end of the year are those who won their final game, and only if that game involved at least one team who had land at that point in the season. I actually find it interesting that our land, which was...

Re: If we get the full 800k buyout, are you ok with Wells leaving?

I thought Wells did a nice job this year, but before that I was very critical of him. I would prefer he stay but am confident that Hartwell will find a very good coach to replace him so I voted for a wash. I know that it's probably too early to really tell about Craig Smith, but from what I've seen...

Re: KSL claiming Saturday is a sellout

I think we are close to a sellout Why do you think this? USU has a ticket website where you can literally see available tickets. I'd be shocked if even half of the stadium is sold at this point. Here are some screenshots of just a few sections of the stadium. The grayed out section on the east side...

KSL claiming Saturday is a sellout

KSL was definitely wrong. I've heard that the ticket office is slammed this week, but that includes gameday prep, new staff, etc., and not as much ticket sales as "slammed" would suggest. Nowhere close to a sellout. Really disappointing for the home opener in what could be a special season. Sent fro...

Big drop in price this year upper bowl tickets are $20. upper bowl 10 rows are good $5 round trip on trax drop off in front of arena, best deal I have heard of..
Plus you can buy the cheap seats and sit in the lower bowl once the Utah/BYU fans vacate half the arena.

Re: Ags in the NFL preseason

I find this link useful for following our former players: http://www.espn.com/nfl/college/_/letter/u It isn't perfect (Tyler Larsen is listed under Utah, for example), but it's a decent starting point. I also watched Jojo Natson return several kicks and punts for the Ravens the other night. He's on ...

Thoughts on the AAF in SLC?

I apologize if this is old news, or should have been posted in Big Blue's House, but ... I imagine Coach Duryea will be back. As I've talked with a few people in the athletic department, most attribute the first couple bad years to Colette's departure, and this year to injuries. I don't know if that's what they really believe but it appears to be the company line if nothing else. Sent f...

Re: CBS Sports ranks the bball programs in each state

I don't quite understand how CBS Sports went about formulating this list. It supposedly tells us who "owns the state", and I guess that BYU gets that crown by being associated with the predominant religion. Utah is next by fact of being in the PAC-12. From there, I don't know how CBS Sports would ha...

March madness!! Even though the MWC is down, it's fun having a wide open conference tournament where we don't have to be scared to play a particular team (altho maybe SDSU because they own us). The funny thing is that "bad driver" is a subjective term. I've learned that often it means "someone who drives differently than I". For example, I'm the type of driver that tends to drive a bit over the speed limit, but I use my signal, use the left lane only to pass, keep to the left of the right ...

As much as I hope both teams lose, I want BYU to lose more. Living in Utah County, the talk of BYU going undefeated after squeaking by Arizona is already a lot for me to bear.
