Re: Mike Favero USU Offense Analyst?

We have just gone off the rails straight into a realm of stupidity on this thread. If a coach is good at breaking down film and analyzing opponent tactics, he can do that on any level. I have been led to believe that Favero is one of these guys. HS coaches that fail on higher levels are usually guys...

Re: Reddit Wiki Project

Hard disagree on what you say about tailgating. We have a pretty decent tailgating culture for those that do tailgate, (obviously nowhere near the big schools but we have a ton of fun) and it is a great place to welcome in visitors. The alcohol flows freely in the parking lot on game days and it is...

Gents (and tania), CFB Reddit is doing a redux of the wiki project that it had started up a couple years back, and I filled in some of our culture/gameday/tradition items. Re: BYU, USU, BSU Joining AAC?

I think the thing that pisses me off the most about this subject is how the media reacts. On the drive into work on 1280 they were talking how suddenly they think the AAC is a better conference than the MWC in football. Like miles ahead....good grief, not even close. One stand out team ranked at th...

As of this morning, Chy is still listed as a hard commit with an offer from USU. Knowing what we know, shouldn't this be changed?

All I know is, I have already interviewed him and had a feature article ready to go and then I was told that the coaching staff has no idea who he is? The first three commits, Yaro, Isaiah, and Upton are all legitimate by the way. But even Yaro has been communicating with Chy about coming here, so ...

I don't put a lot of stock into these rankings, but I think it is pretty pathetic that they won't release the media votes. Y’all are nuts. Hollywood Hank looked great every chance he got last year. To me, Colombi is like if Kent Myers had more velocity and accuracy passing. If someone is able to beat him out for the starting job, then we are looking at a freshman phenom. I’ll put my money on Colombi.

Personally I’m much more worried about the OL than our receivers. I thought Gary did a really good job of bringing in guys to fill voids left by last years unit. I am not because GA and our new O-Line coach are not. Specifically, they evaluated all the O-line players (and worked them out) and concl...

The Calvin and Legas competition over the next couple of years will be interesting. I do think one of them will be the next starting qb after Colombi. Based on what information (him not playing QB here)? As far as ranking, he's ranked 69th nationally and no. 1 QB in Washington and the 22nd best player in the state. I like those numbers. Not a bad pairing to start things off, but we will need a little bit more "oomph" than this to have another recruiting class like last year. We have historically struggled to get early commits, so this is a good sign on that front.

Texas and Oregon have both recently played at Wyoming. Miami went to Toledo last year. G5 schools are becoming much less willing to take 2 for 1 deals. This used to he a very customed contract for P5 schools. Thus a transition to 1 for 1 deals which benefit certain schools. So let's hypothetically ...

You must stay up with the Joneses in your own conference. Locker rooms also are used for recruiting.

Personally I would prefer to not have the "nicest" locker room. Obviously I DO want a locker room that is good enough. But I still want there to be a bit of grunge. Something to keep players hungry. I want it to be something that will get them in the mood to go out and hit. Not to stay in and play ...
