Pacific Coast League disbanded
It was announced today that the Pacific Coast League of Professional Baseball Clubs will cease to exist immediately after 117 years. Fardaws Aimaq
Does anyone know much about Fardaws Aimaq, the sophomore UVU center? He is averaging an incredible 14.9 rebounds per game and leads the NCAA with 2.3 more per game than the #2 rebounder. Those are like Paul Millsap numbers. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/statistics/player/_/stat/rebound...

Re: Zahar Vedishev
I’ll start by saying that I think Zahar has some talent and I enjoyed seeing him play in a few games. He finished his Aggie career at 3-for-11 from three and 4-for-13 overall in 21 total minutes. That is some volume shooting. It’s also a lot of effort to come halfway around the world to play half a...

Re: SL Tribune Article on NCAA chance
Yes and no. I've been hearing talk from the commentators about the MWC getting 3 teams. Not a single chance! The MWC will be lucky to get two. This is a good conference, but don't listen to the hype. This is the perfect year for the power 5 conferences to not need any justification for taking more ...

Re: Fouls - or Lack thereof?
Seems like an over correction from the MWC in this game. UNLV is full extension pushing off and only one offensive foul this game. At least 3 pointers where UNLV has pushed off to clear space. Trash shooting on our end, but these refs aren’t calling anything now. How about the full body tackle when...

Re: Open Dates
Is the MWC planning on playing the conference games that have been postponed during the last month? The Aggies haven’t had any conference games postponed, but a lot of other schools have. I’m just wondering if they have time to play them between now and the conference tournament.

Re: Leon Rice on MWC Tournament
Dropping the number of teams from 11 to 8 doesn’t protect the top teams from early elimination. The top five teams get byes as it now stands, so from their perspective, it already is an eight-team tournament. In addition, there’s the chance of the six, seven and eight seeds losing in the first round...

I'm really surprised that SUU agreed to join. SUU and Dixie are joining FCS before Weber State, LOLZ that's hilarious. The Big Sky is FCS. The WAC is now FCS. I have no idea why SUU would leave the Big Sky. I guess with Dixie as a travel partner maybe it made more sense for their finances? I also c...

Rebounding: 53-22 Utah State
I have just a few comments about the rebounding statistics tonight. Queta/Bean combined to out-rebound UNM 26-22. When is the last time the Aggies out-rebounded a DI opponent by 30+? How about in a road conference game? On missed UNM shots, USU led in rebounding 35-6. On missed USU shots, USU had mo...

Looks like they increased Queta's blocks to 5. Queta and Bean
A question about each player: Did anyone else count six blocks for Queta, with 5 in the first half and one in the second? He was credited for only three. Can official stats be revised based on post-game review of video? Why did Bean sit out about the last 15 minutes of the game? It looked like he wa...

Re: At the beginning of the season.....
Bairstow is a solid back up. He needs to continue to slow down and seems to be better at not going recklessly to the rim and getting blocked. Dorius is solid for 10 minutes a game. Ashworth and Anderson are solid off the bench. I like watching Bairstow play. However, he has never seen an opportunit...

He tied Bean with two steals and 15 points and was the sole leader in rebounds, assists and blocks.
I wonder how many times this happens on average nationally each year, and if it has ever happened at USU.

Vedischev is a chucker. This is why he isn't seeing the floor as much as he could be. I wonder if this is something that can be taught, I would think it could but it baffles me that he would play that way knowing that is keeping him from playing. I mean I’ve never seen something like it at usu. he ...

Arkansas State @ Utah State in 2006
Does anyone else remember the ASU-USU game in Logan on 2016? The Aggies took a 24-0 lead less than one minute into the second quarter. The Aggies didn’t look good at all and held on to win 34-20. The main thing I remember from that game was thinking that ASU looked as bad as any FBS team I have seen...

I actually love the 1-and-1 format, even though it seems that it always screws the Aggies over when we choke on the first shot. I wish they had the 1-and-1 in the NBA. Makes it much more exciting. I’m old enough to remember the 3-to-make-2 rule in the penalty for shooting fouls in. the NBA. They al...

It was the right call. He didn't start the act of shooting until after the contact. He wasn't going to shoot that until he felt the contact. I wanted it to count too, but it was the right call. James Harden would have gotten that call. (edit: I now see I’m not the first to make this observation! ;)...

And watching about 45 consecutive minutes of commercials on ESPN. I have never seen anything like that outside of an Atlanta Braves rain delay on WTBS.
ESPN gave up on the draft at about pick 45 only to come back and show Merrill’s pick on tape delay.
