A lot of Stew’s team, at least early on were very athletic. Troy Rolle, Toraino Johnson, Curtis Bobb, Bernard Rock, Shaw Daniels, Brennan Ray, Mark Brown, Cardell Butler, Jason Williams, Dion Bailey, Ronnie Ross, Desmond Penigar, Dimitri Jorssen, etc...

IF Smith sticks around next year, he better be begging for Fonz to come back so they can play small ball. Dorius is not a starting center in the MW right now.

Re: Lineup changes, Big boy basketball
I keep hearing Bean is an elite rebounder. Last night he had 5. I don't even think he is in the top 10 in the conference. I've said this before, Bean is a good player who deserves playing time, but he is not an elite player. He will not be all conference.

Looking ahead to next year
I don't know how we compete with the top teams. Who is even a 2nd team MW player on our team? CSU and Nevada are going to be really strong. SDSU will be very solid as will BSU. UNLV will be better and so will Wyoming. That puts us in the middle of the conference.

Well, Craig Smith brought it up in postgame, so I think there is a decent chance. Why would they have one, no fans =no money.ProvoAggie wrote: ↑February 19th, 2021, 10:30 pmWhy wouldn't there be a conference tournament? There has been absolutely no talk about canceling it.

He is shooting 39% in conference play from 3. He needs to play more, especially on a team that struggles shooting the 3.

Both CSU and UNM wanted to play. Larimer county is the ones that cancelled the game. It was out of the universities hands.

Re: Bean & Queta Scoring #'s
I said this about Bean after the South Dakota tournament. He is a role player. His offensive game is limited. He has no post up moves and is not athletic enough to beat anybody off the dribble. He is good when he can out hustle lesser opponents, but when there is a good team that knows what they are...

Amazing how much better a coach looks when kids make shots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yep, the gameplan was fine the other night and it was great tonight. Sometimes players just miss. We are 10-2, one game out of first. We are fine. While a lot of this is true, Craig made adjustments. 1. H...

Here is what I don't get. How is BSU so high in the NET rankings? They basically played 3 out of conference games, they beat BYU, lost to Houston, and beat Weber. That is ok, but nothing special. Kenpom has them at 65, which seems more accurate.

Justin Bean is a really good player who deserves lots of minutes. That said, he should not be playing over Fonz right now.

We lost because we couldn’t make free throws and we were completely out coached. How many minutes can you play Ashworth when he has a ton of turnovers and can’t make a damn shot? And why in the hell is Fonz not playing more? He is better than Bean.

Yes CSU has smaller guards, however they are lighting quick and lighting fast, it will be hard to contain them. CSU plays much different then SDSU, more uptempo to take advantage of their athletic ability. Their defense will not be as good, but their offense will be much better. We should be concern...

SDSU was favored by 8.5. With a CSU starter out and their top defender because of a death in the family, the Aztecs were going to win this one without a doubt. Easy money.

I'm not trying to piss anybody off in here, but as somebody who is not Mormon, Utah State needs A LOT more religious diversity on campus. I know it is Utah and all but there could be more of an effort to get more religious diversity.

As a graduate in 2000 and a non-member, the notion that USU is anti LDS may well be the funniest thing I’ve heard all year. The fragility of some people is pretty incredible. Coach Anderson, welcome! Exactly... and the common theme is neither one has any idea, the board or twitter.3rdGenAggie wrote: ↑December 11th, 2020, 5:27 pmThe difference is, here on the board we hope it's not true and was just blown out of proportion. On Twitter and in the media they hope it IS true because it'll make for more likes, shares and clicks.

Twitter and this board are the same thing. A lot of people with no idea, jumping to conclusions.
The reality of the situation is nobody knows what happened and jumping to conclusions on either side is pointless. Nobody knows what happened so don't pretend too.

Here is where I stand on Bean. He is athletic is the sense he has a good vertical. But his lateral quickness is not there at all. He can't beat anybody off the dribble because of it. If you watch him in a one on one situation on the perimeter, he will try and beat the guy, realize he can't, then bac...
