Re: Boise fighting the MWC

Boise is not the program everyone makes them out to be. Yes, they are the best in the MW, but ever since Chris Petersen has left, they are not dominant. They don't always win the league or even the division. They average less than 35,000 per game, and season ticket sales are falling. The reason the...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

Financially, the AAC is a weak option for Boise. If Boise was seriously considering it, it would probably be for football only and the remaining sports parked in the WAC. Eight of the 11 current AAC football schools are east of the Mississippi. That is a lot of travel for all of the teams involved a...

Re: Boise fighting the MWC

I doubt a court will much entertain a declaratory judgment request on an anticipatory breach that may occur six years down the road. At this point it is likely too speculative. I also doubt there is any real remedy on the alleged Thompson snub of supporting a greater guaranteed payout to Boise. Such...

+1 for having an arena sponsored by my 2nd favorite beer. Yuengling? Never heard of them, seriously. I remember a few years back when people were telling me about how good Genesee was and I was like "who?" It's a very good lager. It doesn't specify which thermometer will be used, so it could be the weather station at Peter Sinks. That could provide some decent ticket prices.

I'm not sure if it was the right call but had similar thoughts during the review of whether it would be better to get the ball back with more time on the clock, with timeouts as well, while being down by three. Irregardless, I loved Lampkin's chase down and tackle.

One thing about the fast pace that is easy to forget with it being effective for us this year is that it only works if you get first downs. It just puts the defense back on the field quicker if it doesn't work. Like it is more harmful to go three and out, or even punt after one or two first downs i...

Re: How do we build the fanbase?

How do we build the fanbase? Simple. Increase enrollment. The key to a supportive fanbase is a solid base of supportive alums. The alums generate excitement in the community. USU's smaller enrollment is a big reason why our fanbase is smaller and why we sometimes struggle to sell out the stadium or...

The team has an established history of only playing three quarters. The difference is that this season the team only needs to play three to win instead of the playing it close for three and then losing in the fourth.
