Re: New Unis

Before we get too far into the weeds on the latest designer uniform bit, how many of us have ever researched the price of jerseys, pants and helmets? At some point I believe we begin to lose our traditional color scheme identity. Navy Blue and White. Very pleasing color combination as I and certain ...

Re: Anyone else hate the timing of our two byes this year?

A healing week off is just that. In this climate of oversized and overbuilt players hammering on each other, a recovering break is a welcome break. It's a challenge to sort out just how strong this AGGIE team is, but a break early on, especially with the questions we have at corner, isn't all that b...

Gotta hand it to the Coogs...they beat big name teams on a semi regular basis. That isn't an accident or a misfire... they must be respected. I would expect we beat them this year,,,,hail Mary or not,,,but watch out for the hail Mary.

From High School on we were always tutored to never bury our heads in the other player. When I coached, the...

If the student athletes like them then I like them. It really is about them. My concern goes well beyond the changing style evaluation of the players uniforms, and certainly into the interests of our athletes, plus getting through college and into the mainstream of life. Re: New Unis

I love the excitement of the players. I appreciate that fans may like this. I don’t think I will unless they bring out a much brighter shade of blue than typical Aggie blue. Or unless we had nighttime “cammo” type jersey. From what I can tell, I’ll leave it at I don’t like this- but I’ll still chee...

Re: Targeting or not targeting

Targeting is many times a selective call. For all who have played the game at any level, consider the defender launching properly at the ball carrier. The ball carrier sees the impending contact approaching and drops his head to meet the oncoming contact. Between the tackles this happens on virtuall...

I was in line the entire 2nd quarter. Maybe they should open up a second locale up there? ACL is a nasty repair issue, way beyond a simple meniscus. My doctor said to keep myself in decent shape or "I'd be sleeping while he was working." I see the gym 3 times a week to keep things aligned and in reasonable condition. ACL is nasty event brownjeans... all the best to you.

Meniscus might be better in the short term, but it's worse in the long run. Meniscus damage, according to my orthopedic surgeon, is currently quite manageable. An ACL typically brings the surgeon and six (6) months of rehab. Also a meniscus can be strikingly painful and cause the knee to lock up. L...

I like this staff and the promise they bring of another successful recruiting effort. I honestly do look at the defense and wonder about the 4-2 alignment vs the 3-4. Re: Some defensive personnel changes I noticed

Heninger and Meitzenheimer played well, and Heninger impressed with his speed and tenacity. The 3-4 we have used in times past still has an attraction for me as I saw little stunting disruption from the 4 down linemen set we played from. I do wonder is 3-4 will be something we use more of against SD...

I agree a 3-4 offers many stunting options, and as I'm not watching the game I'm blind as to how the Wake "O" line is performing. I also believe we have, as advertised , very, very good players with our "D" line and our front seven. The coaches must be seeing something that keeps us in a 4-2-5.........
