Re: Darwin TD

Love it, nearly all these plays are plays that coaches and teammates notice. Sure, showing speed on the TD is nice and hurdling a guy is fun but the other two plays stand out. By the way, the hurdle play was called back but the best part of that play is it looks like it was designed to go to his lef...

Re: My All Time Starting 5

I don't disagree so far but it is amazing to me after so many years of Aggie basketball that a center who has played for 1 year as a freshman makes the all-time team. I guess in my life we've had years without a true 5, we've had a few solid centers but no one outstanding. Power Forward is a differe...

Yes. Broke some ribs IIRC.
I think I can speak for almost anyone who was there, we all heard his ribs break. Almost like a gunshot.
That is correct. You could hear his ribs break from the stands.

I don’t think there are any stat models that will do that. We also don’t have a snap shot of Washington at the end of the season. I do. I watched their championship game vs Oregon and couldn’t help but think USU can easily do to them what Pritchard did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm with W...

Re: Great! 25 in AP poll

Nice rewards coming in for Coach Smith. There may be other incentives, but he's up to $60,000 extra. $25000 each for being co-champs and winning tournament, and now an extra $10000 for being in top 25 in AP poll. To lazy to look it up on my phone but doesn't Smith get $10,000 for being coach of the...

Huskies slow it down hoping to jack up a long contested 3 as the shot clock expires. This leads to fewer possessions.

I was there and I would say it was 60/40 for SDSU. Usu fans were louder but that’s because there was a lot more to cheer about. Agreed, a few more SDSU fans but ire team took their fans out of the game with the 13-0 start to the second half and SDSU not scoring the first five minutes. Lots off fans...

Try Akron/Canton airport, it is cheaper at least from Denver. Other airports within a few hours are Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo, Charleston WV. Farther out may be Louisville, Lexington, Indianapolis.

Having got my masters from UW, after our win I went to the PAC-12 championship game. This is what I saw. That game was atrocious and hard to watch. UW stood around all game on offense and then took bad three point shots, hitting 20% and they weren't close misses. When they went inside #15 lost the b...

Interesting thread. We only have 2-3 sets but probably many variations that players run based on what defense is giving. On the other hand at the end of the SDSU-Nevada game, without any timeouts Nevada looked completely lost even with 4 seniors on court. No sets, just 1-1 with bad shot. Contrast to...

Merrill's "toe on the line" call was very telling imo. the ref was adamant that it was only a two. He was way out of position and basically guessed that Sam's toe was on the line. It wasn't really even that close. It looked on the line to me, but I sit at mid court 31 rows up. On tv it’s clearly no...

The 1990 UNLV game when they were #2 was the infamous (read: legendary) water bomb game which cost us three points due to technical fouls at the beginning of the second half. We lost by 2. Re: NCAA At-large bid selection process

It is actually pretty fun to do it because it lets the easy teams get in but then forces you to look at resumes for the competing teams. Anyone can do it and come within 1-2 teams of the final field. I think that is why Joe Lunardi is a farce, he is only doing what anyone else who pays any attention...

I'd love the play-in game too because it seems in past years the winners of the 12/13 play-in games win a disproportionate amount of time in the next round. To be fair Wyoming only has 7 players so it would be hard for very many of them to play less than 26.4 unless all starters played 40 minutes. But point taken, I think it allows our players to be fresher and make shots at the end. It also prepares us in case there is an injury (knocking on wood) or t...
