Bentley and Rising are 1,2 on the ewets.depth chart, if that means anything.
Jason Shelley was never given an opportunity to compete for the job. This is why he transferred away from Utah.
You think it was because he is only 5’11”?

Re: More News on Sam Merrill

I don't watch a lot of NBA basketball but when I do, I don't see the John Stockton type players anymore. The old-school "tough as nails" type of guys seem to be thing of the past. The game is less physical now and is more spread out and one-on-one isolation type of play with a lot of three point sh...

Re: More News on Sam Merrill

There once was a supposed "non-athletic" guard who was a good shooter, smart....and tough as nails. His name is John Stockton. Now I don't know if Sam's body can take the beating that Stockton put himself through each night, but I think he can. He is smart, studies his opponent, leaves it out on the...

I didn't see anyone post anything about this so I thought I'd get the ball rolling..... With that said they never had to deal with something like the current state of things. I imagine Mitchell will play, but I can see him having some questions first. Bei...

Liked the guy: he came in during Winter Quarter drills (which I participated in) in early '73. He brought in some new stuff, which I really took to, especially the agility stuff. So much fun. Felt bad when I had to meet with him to tell him I wouldn't be participating in Spring ball. Loved his styl...

Maybe my memory needs refreshed, but the only game I recall where full court pressure bothered us was New Mexico in the 2018-19 season. So did Nigel John get “recruited over” with Zapala? Do we know Zapala is better? or is that wishful thinking? I am not 100% sure, but based on the timing, it looks like John left because of Queta's decision to come back, and Zapala was signed to fill John's void. I could be wrong but that is what i...

When they played in Reno the Pack really didn't guard him with any particular emphasis. He had a solid game but Timmy Allen was a monster. He is the guy Smith should be tampering with from Utah. :) I heard Timmy May want to play somewhere in Nevada if he comes back and doesn’t stay in the draft. :)...

I like him. He seems to have a lot of different tools in his toolbox. Most the Ute players are inefficient - so I think that's a symptom of the coach and system. Gach would become more efficient playing for Smith. I kind of agree with you. I get real nervous though about his 3 pt shooting. 25% last...

I would like to see him with the Raiders, which is a reasonable possibility........... or the Chargers, which is also a team that needs a Qback. Both are warm weather and close to home.

These two teams are a good bet, especially if the big 3 are all taken by then.

Never before has USU had a QB that was a first round pick. So we can't expect to replace Love - he's the first EVER at USU with that kind of talent. But we have good QBs on the team. Love it but think Anthony Calvillo's 5 td/472 yards passing against BYU in 1993 for the win deserved a spot somewhere. Great work! I decided to edit the bracket one last time to give that a spot!
