Re: Dan Hurley is wacked out

Truthfully, I kind of like him and the family. They teach fundamentally sound basketball, Dan Hurley brought UCONN back to prominence, and while a few habits may be annoying, they seem to win the right way. His dad coached a few teams that were #1 in the HS rankings. I can't imagine how proud he is ...

Re: The NCAA isn't coming to save us

In the interest of board coherence, may I make a suggestion? Stop suggesting that the NCAA do something about NIL, or the free-transfer rule, or essentially anything. It cannot. Every time it goes to court to restrict the rights of players, it loses. Its Enforcement employees are probably hiding un...

I don't understand the comments about age. Recruiting and coaching is not about age. It's about recruiting connections, money, and assistants and habits and pure ability to coach. None of those things is dependent on age. We can get a solid 5, at least, years out of Coach K. If those years are 20+ ...

In Danny’s words, Brown is one of his best friends. Well he also said he wanted to be like Stew at USU and we saw how long that lasted. He was. I don’t get the attitude of “you will regret this” guys. Sprinkle is built different. I would not bet against him getting to the highest levels of success in this sport. Re: I just hope we don't go another 20 plus years again of not winning a first round game.

To win a national championship, a team will need to beat several really good teams regardless of seeding. Seeding advantages greatly diminish with each round. No seed is immune to defeat. That said, SDSU’s path to the sweet 16 (UAB, Yale) is statistically advantageous to USU’s (TCU, Purdue). While ...

I hope we win more than 1 in 5. Like ideal would be a lot more wins in March over the next 5 years. This season surpassed expectations, but it would help to have seeds that were higher than 8. It will take a lot, but we ran into the team that was considered the top overall seed until they lost in t...
