Re: No College Football this fall according to 2 P5 ADs

There’s at least some momentum from the players wanting to play. The hashtag #WeWantToPlay is trending. Trevor Lawerance tweeted this: "People are at just as much, if not more risk, if we don't play," the junior signal-caller wrote. "Players will all be sent home to their own communities where socia...

Re: Season being further reduced to division games only?

The big concern of playing football in the spring has been players not wanting to take the beating of a full spring season, then turn around and play in the fall. While 12 games in spring followed by 12 in fall may be alot to ask, or even 8 conference games in spring, I don't think it would be as h...

Re: Football Season Is In Jeopardy

From a health perspective, what is the point of thinking about pushing various seasons back to the spring? COVID will still be around next spring and, while I have little faith any vaccine will be effective long-term and might be as effective as the vaccine for the seasonal flue, by spring the effe...

Re: Looks like our schedule is set

I personally would love to win a couple more games against and become a primary rival with Boise State. That would be a much better rivalry than the one with the zoobs. It would be more competitive because it would also be a conference rival, and we could ditch Byu for a money game and not have to p...

Re: Looks like our schedule is set

We bail out BYU because our fanbase slobbers over everything BYU. Many of our fans care more about hating BYU than loving USU. Games with them brings money and excitement. Unfortunately this. I certainly don't hate byu more than I love USU. I care very little about what byu does other than our game...

Unpopular opinion: many people have paid way too much attention to media hysteria and way too little attention to the actual data when making COVID-19 decisions. I would have agreed with you, up until I tested positive. Luckily I don’t have any symptoms, but I can tell you this thing spreads fast. ...

This is just the tip of the iceberg, and not just for the Aggies.

I think the only way that college football will happen this year is if they make a shortened season in the spring.

Unless someone that I am not aware of has bailed, we don't have a scholarship for him. I'm sure we might consider taking him as a preferred walk-on. Just because a kid leaves byu doesn't mean he is going to be better than the kids we already have. We gotta get past the little brother stuff. I agree...

Honestly I could see a kid not wanting to play on a team where your dad works. Nobody wants to be “Coaches son” or “he only plays cause his dad’s coach.

I’ll respect the kids decision no matter what the reasoning was. Except if he thinks they’ll be a better team than us. That’s just asinine.

I think many of you are underselling Shelley. He is capable of doing more than just managing the offense. I see big play ability if Bodie can utilize his skills well.
You might be right. Gary brought him in for a reason. He might end up being better than Colombi after all.

I think everyone on here can agree that JS won’t be able to do what Jordan Love was asked to do. I think you watched a different season of Aggie football than me last year because I saw Jordan Love throw interception after interception after interception. If that is what he was asked to do, I am gl...

Re: Jason Shelley’s Skill Set

In order for JS to succeed I think we’ll do the same thing that the UofU did with Tyler Huntley: -Establish a solid run game -Use lots of play action -Give him simple reads -Have 95% of his throws be within 25 yards. (High percentage throws) -Take shots when the defense is blitzing or biting on the ...

I've heard that the UofU has made a plan for both scenarios (fans and no fans), and found that if they replace the fans with advertisement banners in the stands that they will make just as much money as they would if they were to sell out their stadiums. I wonder if USU is considering doing somethin...

Behind the obvious Boise State, Wyoming, and also Air Force by a wide margin and one measly vote ahead of Colorado State at fifth. Bulletin board material. Re: Our Offense Going Forward

I still worry about our lack of quality outside receivers. We desperately missed having jump-ball receivers last year. I'm not sure we have really addressed that. Thin at best. The WR group is an area of concern. 2012 we didn't blow the world away with receivers but we had several solid guys. Austi...

I think we have some potential in our wr group, just not a lot of experience and returning production outside of Nathan and DT and Scarver. I think Ajani, Wright, and McGriff could be contributors. Should be a serviceable group. There may be a few others that could surprise as well. I feel better a...

I know there’s been a lot of discussion about Comlobi’s departure and Shelly’s ability to carry the team, but I’ve realized that the offense will only go as far as this OL takes them.

In the words of Quin Ficklin “On the O-Line, we don’t look who’s behind us, we look at whose in front of us.”

My question throughout this debacle is was it Gary telling HC that he wasn’t the best fit and he wasn’t going to let him compete for the starting job, or was it HC not wanting to try and beat out Jason Shelly out of some sort of entitlement? If it’s the former, it’s on Gary, if it’s the latter, it’s...

I hope that my reputation around here is as a guy that generally views the Aggies in an optimistic light, and wants them to succeed always. Having said that, WR is a great stressor for this team this year. McGriff has the measurables, and he will be relied upon heavily. Nathan is a great slot recei...

I have a wait and see approach on McGriff. I love the potential but it usually takes JC guys a while to adjust.
