Re: Replay of TT vs. WV

Personally I don't think he and Henry necessarily had any huge issues. I just think GA had an opportunity to bring in some more experience to the QB room and someone who fits the style of offense he'd like to run. I also don't think he expected, or wanted, Henry to leave when Shelley transferred in...

Re: New transfer possibility.

According to the Article, he’s transferring due to LSU’s shift to a 4-3, which is what the Utes run. So I don’t think that’s the best fit for him.

It’s a long shot, but he would come in and start immediately in the system he prefers. Go get ‘em Gary!

Going Forward

Last night was rough, but we can’t let it ruin our season. Here’s what I think we can build off of and what we can improve. 1. We have a power run game. Great! Use it and build around it. Add some jet sweeps to it, use some play action. Make teams stack the box. 2. I think we’re all disappointed we ...

Re: Way Too Early Depth Chart

My four take always are this: - We should be fine with our D-Ends, but our NG depth is a huge question mark. If Soni Fata can step up our defense will do well. -Our Secondary is loaded. -I’m curious as to why Scarver is the #3 X receiver rather than the#1 or #2 at the “Z” spot? -Our offense has all ...

Re: How many wins this 8 game season.

The X factor is being able to stop the run of defense. If we can do that I predict we go 6-2, maybe even 7-1. If not, we’ll be lucky to go 4-4. Either our D-line is going to have to step up big time or we are going to have to be very aggressive blitzing and use those blitzes to confuse the opposing ...

Change of heart, We Could Make It Work

Today I was fortunate enough to go to a Notre Dame football game with my wife. (They only let students and faculty in). And although it felt good being there and watching football, I couldn’t help but think “The MWC could make this work. Utah State could make this work.” The biggest issue I see is w...

It took about two years in the program here at USU to get Jordan where he needed to be. There's nothing wrong if it takes Jordan around the same amount of time to grow into his role in the NFL.

On the bright side, J-Love did play well in his last scrimmage. Especially in the two minute drill.

The big concern of playing football in the spring has been players not wanting to take the beating of a full spring season, then turn around and play in the fall. Honestly I could see a kid not wanting to play on a team where your dad works. Nobody wants to be “Coaches son” or “he only plays cause his dad’s coach.

I’ll respect the kids decision no matter what the reasoning was. Except if he thinks they’ll be a better team than us. That’s just asinine.
