So far I haven't seen a single projection that has him in the first round. That could easily change if he impresses NBA scouts at some point during the process. But as of right now the smart money is still that he will be back next year. SI had him 29th to the Spurs few weeks ago. https://www.si.co...

Re: Nevada’s End Of Season Blowup

Reminds me of the Dallas Mavericks blowup clear back in the 90s when they had Jason Kidd, Jimmy Jackson, and Jamal Mashburn and they were all fighting over Toni Braxton or something. Not sure if it really happened, but anyway. You're correct that really happened. SB Nation has an awesome YouTube se...

How would losing a second round game to the overall #1 seed be worse?

Same way losing to the defening national champions when you were up 11 in the final minutes was worse.

I expect a large UNC contingency, and would assume theyll root against who they perceive is the biggest threat in the round of 32. A lot of media say USU, major conf logic says Washington.

Perhaps they will just want to watch a fun game?

Nothing like a heart-felt congratulations. Absolutely nothing. just being realistic. SDSU also lost to Wyoming and Fresno St in the MWC tourney title game and they fell back on obscurity while SDSU remains consistent. Hopefully next season, Utah St will remain relevant. We need competition. Youre r...

I felt like I was listening to UNM's broadcast team for most of that game. I loved when Sam hit the open 3 while Lappas was saying "oh no, not him".
Pretty sure that call was tongue in cheek. I personally loved it. Didnt mind the commentary at all.

Looks like the 12/5 and 13/4 matchups in that region are also tabbed for SLC. Id honestly prefer those to keep from a 1 seed matchup in the second round. That said, Washington would be a good matchup for us, and Gonzaga would be the best possible 1 seed scenario.

Gonna be a long weekend.

Im on board with just "The Spectrum," though "Smith Spectrum" is technically more accurate to the actual name of the arena.

I will say, one sad part of not having MW around anymore is the potential of naming the boards "Smithfield" and "Wellsville."

byu hides behind the classic mystique that "private school" equals "tougher school." On top of that I think many students can use something like the honor code to claim some sort of additional degree of difficulty. Either way. I dont care if it's Devry, a plus 90% grad rate for athletes is remarkable.
