Re: WSU
Just to sum things up. WSU/OSU now want to do a FB Scheduling agreement with the MWC. While parking the majority (10 sports) including BB and WBB in the WCC. But they will beg to stick the other sorts that can't find any home in the MWC. I would just tell them no. At first, the idea of WSU/OSU comi...

That's cool. I don't remember seeing this last year. Looks like a nice community event. Fun to see our athletes.

Re: Current State of USU Basketball
I would rather have Great, I don't know much about the guy from Stetson. I just think it's weird that he isn't bringing anyone with him. Maybe it's because all of his best players were seniors? Perhaps the jump from Youngstown State and the Atlantic Sun Conference is too big going to Utah State and...

I think we should honor the 1,000,000 post with a $1,000,000 donation to USU from whomever makes that post. $2,000,000 if it happens in the Sandbox.

1,000,000 USUFans posts!
Looks like we're on track to hit our 1,000,000 posts on USUFans sometime this year. ProvoAggie , do you have any projections on when that might occur? Should we do something to celebrate? Make a donation to USU Athletics? Hold a 50/50 opportunity drawing? Ask one of our coaches to drop by and do an ...

Re: Shout out to Hans and Scotty G
Yesterday, the majority of their show was dedicated to highlighting USU athletics. All three hours had an interview with one of our coaches. It's been a long time since I've ever seen the SLC media give USU that type of airtime. I've complained about this for years, so I'm going to make sure I give...

Re: Asking a coach about staying at a press conference
Last time I checked, a coach's longevity isn't a metric most people care about. Take ESPN, for example. The first column includes each team's win/loss record. Other measures the public seems to care about include tournament performance and national rankings. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...

Re: Aj Storr and going value of top players
That's crazy. I know we're thinking about NIL as a form of compensation on top of the full-ride scholarships these athletes get. However, I'm close to the professional space where sports personalities are paid for media appearances and product endorsements, and an NFL rookie in a metro area might ch...

"My girls are at an age that we don't want to move" Let's not get too excited. Cache Valley is a very polarizing place, and his girls could also say they aren't happy if they struggle to feel included in the community. Plus, he literally is moving them right now, saying, "My girls are at an age tha...

"I want to thank our players." I love it with new coaches immediately take on the "we" and "our" terms.
I also like how both coaches acknowledged where they came from. That's classy and something we didn't see from Odom.

Yep. That was so odd when they had no questions for our last coach. This is a chance for them to set a first impression with a coach they could be covering for the next 11 months (let's be honest) to 3 years (at most). A simple Chat GPT query turned up the following questions: Questions for Coach Je...

It’s not just the Utah ties it’s the west coast ties that I liked about Simon. Plus he lived in Utah for 7 years and probably wouldn’t want to bounce after 1-2 years . But hey go Aggies right I will support no matter what. Salary > location. There are very few individuals who, given the opportunity...

Seems like Toledo fans are marginally sad about his departure. https://csnbbs.com/thread-988866.html Fun to see them share a photo of Utah State campus; also, three Toledo athletes hit the portal this week, and one poster thinks he'll bring someone named Ben Wight with him. https://csnbbs.com/thread...

Re: Tod Kowalczyk - Announcement on Tuesday
Tod is a great coach in the regular season as shown from his regular season titles but not fared well in conference tournaments or NIT. Hopefully at USU he can get over that hump. For sure a different hire than our last 3 as he is on the downward side in terms of how many years he probably has left...

Re: Great Osobor Appreciation
Great was really fun to watch and pretty hard for other teams to gameplan for. Even if they double-teamed him, he'd still find a way to score or find the open guy. Plus, we've historically either had some slower bigs or undersized bigs who get pushed around. Great stands out as someone who is decept...
