Re: Predict the Score - BB 12/8 @ BYU
I think USU wins by ~10 and it's a similar game to UVU. So maybe 73 - 64 USU With Baxter out for the season with an ACL tear, and Harward not back yet, BYU is playing with Caleb Lohner, Traore, and Atiki at "center". As long as USU has someone (or a rotation of players) that can lock down Barcello, ...

This is my favorite thread every year! My favorite was one I think I saw last year of Dave Rose played by a beaver or or ground hog. It was perfect!

Y'all make trolling you so easy and fun. When you come and try to have a sports discussion on a Sports fan board and get told to go away without even a sports discussion, then you might as well turn troll. And with the super thin skin so many of you have it's hard not to have fun. Might as well live...

Re: Finally it’s a rivalry
Anybody that says it isn't a rivalry is being disengenuous. BYU fans likely will never see USU as a rival in the same way that we view Utah, but at least to me and other BYU fans I know, USU is only a small step lower than Utah.

Re: Final byu timeout
I was finally able to go back and watch the final minute to see exactly what happened with the timeout. Looks like I read between the lines correctly. USU driving with their starting offense on the field, BYU with a whole bunch of backups (backups who also forced a pick on Mr NFL "first rounder", mo...

Re: Final byu timeout
Oh I totally agree. I avoid talking sports in general with people outside of sports forums cause most people don't know more than what they heard on local sports radio and then try to say themselves when they have little to no understating of the game.

Re: Final byu timeout
Alright well y'all win then I guess. You try to have a football conversation and it turned into you should just leave. Pretty typical to most of the football conversations I tried to have while at school at USU. The team has historically sucked so all the kids who grew up cheering for them are just ...

Re: Final byu timeout
I'm fine Dwigt, but to use an excuse I heard a lot during my time at USU, it's fans like you that make other fan bases dislike USU fans. But I agree that a rule should be looked at that says a player that gets injured and stops play should have to sit out the drive, or a certain number of plays, or ...

Re: Final byu timeout
Oh and I totally agree that BYU fans would boo other players doing the same thing. I'm just saying that classless things happen and there is no real reason to make it a big deal cause everyone does it. It wasn't over the line on either side so why make it a big deal?

Re: Final byu timeout
Sorry Dwigt I didn't realize that BYU was kicking the crap out of USU would be so hard on you. I was doing other things while watching the end of the game since it was so one sided and didn't give it my full attention. I semi watched that particular point live but was responding to more than just th...

Re: Final byu timeout
And I'd argue that fans booing injured opposing players that are injured (whether they actually think they are or not) is classless. But crap happens. Should the timeout have been called? Probably not. I'll be honest I wasn't paying too much attention at the end so I'm just reading between the lines...

Re: Final byu timeout
It seems to me that if USU still has their first string in and is trying to score even when it doesn't matter to the outcome of the game then it's game on. Why should BYU throw in the towel and stop playing if USU hasn't? Now if I'm wrong and USU was playing their backups then I'd say you have more ...

Re: Which team shows up today guys?
I think if BYU learned from playing Boise St and actually brings pressure on defense instead of dropping 8 every play then it will be a close game that could go either way. If not then I think USU wins comfortably. Even with Love's struggles this year he is definitely good enough to pick BYU apart g...

Re: Parking in Provo
As long as you are like 30ish minutes early you can usually park in the big parking lot next to the indoor practice facility. They started blocking off like half of it last year though so if you don't get a spot there it can be a crap shoot trying to find parking along the roads South of campus.

USU offense looked real good last night! If they run uptempo like the did against MSU they will score a lot against BYU. Zona tore BYU apart tonight when they went uptempo.

Re: Byu fans are delusional
Not to totally disagree with you because I agree that the Chinese league is not all that great (although if you paid me the amount he is making plus his endorsements I'd play in the Moon is I had to) but his stats weren't that bad in college. He shot just under 40% from 3, just under 90% from the fr...

Re: Byu fans are delusional
He definitely is not an NBA talent. His shot is probably good enough, but he lacks the athleticism to compete in the NBA. Like others have said he is a dominant overseas player because the players aren't as athletically gifted, but he isn't an NBA level athlete. He's sure fun to watch though both no...

Re: Why BYU-P doesn't want the MWC
Thanks for giving a genuine response and not just getting annoyed. I definitely agree that hope is a big factor. However, I think that hope is based in pride. Its a hope that BYU-P will get into a P5 because they are/were "great". Obviously BYU-P is one of the best candidates right now for joining ...

Re: Why BYU-P doesn't want the MWC
So just to give my perspective and that of most of the BYU fans I know, I think it has less to do with pride, and more to do with clinging on to hope. Lets be honest. In 10 years there is a good chance that G5 teams won't even be in the same division of football as P5 teams. From my perspective, I t...

Re: Byu related: besides the lone peak trio
I'll post my $.02 for whatever it's worth. The lone peak three are definitely going to be the scoring leaders. Mika is definitely a beast, but his freshman year he got in foul trouble a lot. If he can stay out of foul trouble BYU will be very good in the paint, but aside from him we don't have much ...

Re: 1280 The Zone: Top 60 in 60
Even though I'm a byu fan first and foremost, I agree that's it's dumb to rank them both in the top 4 since only one of them will be starting. I think they should just have it be "starting byu quarterback" with an asterisk saying whichever of them gets the nod (taysom hill in this case) gets the ran...

I'm sure I'll get blasted for saying this since I'm both a BYU fan and an aggie fan, but while there have been a few isolated people on cougarboard saying BYU shouldn't play there have been just as many saying they hope BYU keeps that series going. Of course there are gonna be dumb and entitled byu ...
